New from Fort Worth

Greetings all!

I've actually been on Lit once before, and posted a couple of stories under an identity I've since forgotten (and have been too lazy to look up the stories). Back then, I posted on the boards a few times, but then got distracted.

But - now I'm back and expect to be active for a while! I'm a 43 yr old male in Fort Worth who is beginning the process of separating from my spouse (and divorcing). We've decided not to do anything until after the holidays, but the chisel is set to the stone and there's no turning back. The one grace is that it's all very warm and amicable - at least as much as such a parting could ever be.

So - why am I here? I'm looking to have some light and playful conversations, exchange some innuendos, and perhaps have a drink or two with folks hereabouts. ... not to rush into anything new, but to widen my circle of friends and add new and interesting folks to that circle. The bottom line is: relax and have fun without expectations or pressures. Take life as it is for now.

My interests? Many and varied - from simple carpentry (the odd bookcase or butcher table (oh - and my daughter and I built a canoe a couple of years ago), to camping, biking, live music, dancing, photography (I've been shooting seriously for about 5 years now - all genres), local history, stargazing ... etc., etc., etc.

Absolutely does, sparkles - I'm one of those of who it's said "They weren't born in Texas, but they got here as fast as they could!" I grew up in Colorado and my family came this direction when i was 12. Never saw any reason to leave, though I do love vacations in the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado.
