Where is this place? Looks serene.

It's a little neighborhood park in Dallas, by my house. And, after my husband died, walking in it with my dog probably hoped me stay sane. Sorry... Yes, it's usually peaceful and (I think) quite lovely there.

My condolences. If the av is you, you are very young to go through such a loss. Now that doesn't mean it would be any easier as we get older.

I used to park my car at the park on Hillcrest and LBJ (north east corner) and ride my bike all the way to the white rock lake can return back! your picks reminded me of those times. :rose:

Thank you for the condolences. I was lucky enough to have met a widower from Lubbock. While Dallas
to Lubbock isn't a short drive, we've been together a year now and ever six weeks or so, we usually manage to get a week together.

Yep, my av is me, I turned 50 this past April and lately I've been thinking that being 50 isn't too bad.

My park is a bit of aways from Hillcrest and LBJ, it's in the Duncanville/Cedar Hill area. Hope you don't mind me asking, but where abouts do you live now?

You could have easily shave off 10-20 years of that 50 with that pic! And, yes indeed 50 isn't bad at all. That's the new middle age. Oh Lubbock! It is where the the smell changes with the wind :) A lot of oil well, and even a symphony for a small town like that. I once met this guy and asked him what they do on the weekends; he said he usually goes to fishing either to the gulf or Alaska he said... No joke, when you have your own eh... I live in north Dallas.

Why do us Texans love Texas so much?

It tries to kill us every summer

For me, the thought of going back to places where it snows, and the BBQ helps. I came from Virginia, where we'd have similar brain melting temps in the summer, but could also get multiple feet of snow, multiple times, during the winter, that wouldn't go away for at least a week. One winter, we had 3 feet of snow 3 times, when the first snow melted, down came another 3 feet, when that melted, down came the third.

I rather not have to worry about the consequences of driving under those conditions. Not have to worry about cleaning up the drive way etc. Although, here once a year there is ice on the roads and people do not know how to drive. That is scarier with that many drivers around.

Hey, woke up to 63 here in my corner lot in texas. It was nice all day, windy high 80s.
Enjoy while you can.
Sweet dreams Texas. :rose:
