I'm watching my mom for the week (surgery) so my biggest adventure will be running off to a bookstore for a few hours. Haven't had a vacation in awhile, if it even counts as one.

Ummmmm, I haven't been concerned with "spring break" since I was in college, other than to avoid going places where drunk college kids are all over the place.

Bookstores provide the best vacations ever. One gets to travel to fantastic locations and have the most outrageous adventures, with none of the having to sit on the runway for six hours or any lost luggage.
Or drunks in general. People that need a holiday as an excuse to get hammered probably shouldn't be drinking in the first place.

EDIT - just read it on the station's website. How sad that he only got to enjoy his retirement such a short time.

Yes.. a sad day for the Dorsey family and the metroplex.. a legend lost.
Jenny, unexpected. He had been feeling unwell for a few days. They haven't announced, that I have seen, any cause yet. He had retired in December and planned on moving to Illinois to live on a farm.
Very sad day, indeed!

Interesting place to retire to from Texas.
Struck me kind of funny.
I know. He explained it at the time - I don't remember the reason. But is there REALLY any reason to leave Texas? I think not.

And speaking of Irish.. Did you know the Irish Festival was this weekend at Fair Park?? Bunches of Irish men running around in downtown Dallas last night in kilts!! How did I not know this until today???

The only reason I even know it's spring break is because my little sister called she was stayin w/ me since I was off of work, worst week to be off!
