*sigh* - ain't that always the way - just be careful you don't work too hard - then we'd have to just start all over again at the top!

And that would be a problem because.....????? lol

Isn't the rule "If at first you don't succeed, try-try again ... and if at first you *do* succeed, keep it up until you .... ummm ... can't keep it up any longer" ?

I love that motto

First of all - i hope y'all had a blast at your SA LitTogether.

(Must've been fun - nobody's conscious enough yet to report on it!)

Second, I've just posted a new story.

It's not actually brand new - I haven't written any erotica in probably a year and a half - but it is one I like, and that I hadn't posted yet.

I've already gotten some ... ummm ... interesting feedback. lol - three separate messages from 2 gals who are giving the main character advice on what he should do - lol - and then calling me twisted for making those things happen to him.

Oh, well. Go figure. lol

thanks for the heads-up. I'll go check it out!

Yes, the LitTogether was fun! But I didn't get to get drunk, darn it! lol

I missed the lit-together, wish I could have made it, but I've been at the Texas Renaissance Festival for the last week.. Just got home and took a badly needed 1.5 hour shower. Too much fun and too much mead make a very interesting combination. If anyone's interested I'll post some photo's once they get developed.

Looking forward to seeing them! Sounds like you had lots of fun....even if you did miss the LitTogether!

Hi everyone! Just dropping by to see how everyone is. I hope all of you in the Houston area are ok after yesterdays awful storms. Wasn't too bad up here, just alot of rain and few tornado warnings, but not much damage.

Hi Toni! Glad to see you back online after your computer-problem hiatus.

It is pretty windy in SA today. Pretty day, though.

cloudy and windy here, it even rained lightly, but nothing like yesterday. It was beautiful earlier!

Was pretty much the same here (DFW) - rain & tornado watches - and we really didn't see much rain in FTW until after lunch. The wind has been nice and gusty today, though, and I see some clouds to the north getting dark and heavy. Maybe they'll come play for a bit.

The air brings to mind a poem I wrote in recollection of our tornado a few years back:

"everyone complains about the weather, but nobody does anything about it"

air heavy and wet
soft breeze dripping from the sky

wait for it

spring sitting on your chest
leaps off like a cat
when the wind whips up

scurries away in alarm,
hearing the murmuring,
grumbling clouds
making their plans
and shoving the winds ahead as messenger -

you boy, tell 'em we're coming

maybe we'll ride into town like gene autry
singing something soft and purty-like

or maybe we'll bust into town howling and screaming,
loosing our torrents
beating you down with
rain and hail
tossing electricity with deadly
whip-strokes,
driving folks to trembling and to cover.

We might even be persuaded
to send an angry spiral arm
reaching down -
threshing a path like byGod Shermanhellbentforthesea -

stay back inside your curtains
and your casements,
lest death catch your eye
and blow you a kiss

but maybe

maybemaybe ...

maybe we'll just ride on through
like a sleepy Sunday afternoon,
dropping little raindrop kisses
on your babies' cheeks

can't quite say yet

keep watch - we'll be comin'

I'm in the DFW area also. But to the east! I'm east of Dallas.

Another Texan

Howdy! Just thought I'd hit up another thread today, one of the many it seems on Texas. I'm in College Station, just down the road from that other school, and somewhere between Dallas and Houston (where I was born and raised) aaaaa, it's good to be smack dab in the middle of everywhere. And I will tell you what, in my expert opinion, after being all over the U.S. Texas has the finest women, if not the world. Anyone say differently? You've obviously not been to C.S. ;)

Welcome to Lit, toby.

I've got a dear friend who lives in a small town not too far from C.S.

Yeah? Was it Hern or Navasota? There's a ton of little tons around here. But at least SOMEone knows where C.S. is hehe. I appreciate your post.

Just Popped In To Say...

HELLO!

I thought I'd introduce myself to the Texas Directory. :) I'm in Denton, about 30 minutes up I-35 from Dallas (or Ft. Worth, if you're coming from there). I've been reading the Literotica site for many months and recently decided to give the forums a peek.

For those of you who may wish to know: Bi-curious male, 35-years-young, married, long, curly auburn hair, brown eyes, slender, fit of body and keen of mind.

Looking forward to many "adventures" here as the years progress!

Welcome! Post lots, get to know us and let us get to know you. Have fun!

Oh....TaoistWanderer....your Lit profile says "avian voyeurism". Uh, does that mean you're a bird watcher, or you like to watch birds have sex? Ya know, with Lit people, you never know! lol *grin*

By the way....checked out your yahoo profile. You're cute! Young, but cute. (I've got a nephew your age!)

Yes, "avian voyeurism" would be bird-watching, though I wouldn't put down the binocs if I noticed a pair going after it. In fact, I would probably hand the binocs to the wife (if she was around) - she likes to watch, and animals are no exception! (Just don't tell her you heard it from me... LOL!!)

And thank you for your advice and compliments, BlueDaisy; you are too kind! *blush!*

Nah, I'm not all that kind. Ok, so I am. lol (just kidding).

so...tell more about your wife liking to watch! *wicked grin* Maybe she ought to be here on Lit, too!

*sitting back to wait for TaoistWanderer to come up with other unique ways to phrase things, or tell about his voyeuristic wife...whichever comes first*

Actually, when I discovered the Literotica site I shared it with her and she read some of the stories. While she enjoyed what she read, she confessed that she would really rather watch two (or more) people having sex than read about it. So, we're slowly growing (*ahem!*) our video/DVD collection. However, she also becomes rather aroused and, dare I say it, animalistic when some nature program we're watching shows a pair of mating lions (or tigers or elephants or wolves or foxes or bears or....)
