You can add a attachment to the post by just 1. adding it in your user CP settings (under attachment).

After you've done that - 2. click on that pic (in the attachments) and 3. click on the website address of the image and then 4. right click to copy that address and then 5. go back to your post and click insert image and then 6. paste that address into the text box that opens.

EDIT: or you can use a web picture host and upload it there and it will give you an address to post here. TinyPic is one of those sites - but there's numerous others out there...
