Terrible things are happening.

The focus was never on criminals. Sure, thats what they may have said at first, but look at all the other people who had to deal with that horror.
It was always focused on criminals first then onto illegals who ignored deportation orders.

For now its criminals, but still, we have 35-50,000,000 to work through.

But but but....Homar said we could deport families together. There is no reason for this. Are they hiding the children from ICE and leaving them behind?

As for dragged? No, surely not, not unless they resist arrest. As for those poor abandoned children, what parents would be heartless enough to leave without informing ICE that they have kids? ICE would be more than happy to reunify the family and send them home together.
Another version of using children as human shields. Libtards love that tactic. The AOC tactic is dead.

The "terrible things" referenced in the thread title are just beginning.

Note who is defending this trend. They are the same type of personalities that made excuses for dictators throughout history.
You're delusional. The same personalities that believe in the rule of law.

Thanks to Politruk for sharing this (post 27). And thank you President Trump and border czar Tom Homan.

Among those 538 were “a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang and several illegals convicted of sex crimes against minors,” the press secretary said.

Recent horrific crimes involving illegal Guatemalan migrants in the US include the fatal torching of a sleeping woman on a Brooklyn subway train Dec. 22.

The case’s depravity shocked the nation, with Sebastian Zapeta-Calil, 33, admitting he entered the US illegally five years ago and claiming he was so drunk that day that he didn’t know he had just burned a stranger to death, authorities say.

Another illegal Guatemalan immigrant, Luis Lopez-Martinez was caught molesting a young child in Alabama over the weekend — and all he could say to cops was, “It is what it is,’’ police say.

A migrant from Guatemala who illegally crossed into the US also was recently arrested for raping a child in Massachusetts, say authorities — who called the accused fiend “a significant threat to our neighborhoods.’’

Personally I'd just impale them on a stake and leave the bones there as a warning.

So far there has been very little resistance to the deportations and the EOs that reinstate “remain in Mexico”, end catch and release, and declare a national emergency at the southern border which clears the way for troops to assist border patrol agents.

Really the only thing facing pushback is the EO to end birthright citizenship. Trump will lose that one but it’s proven to be an effective distraction for the open borders people. While they fight that battle, the administration is moving full speed ahead on the other border actions.

I wouldn't place any bets on that. It is going to go to the SCOTUS and considering the make up of the court you may as well flip a coin as to the final decision.

Terrible things are happening outside. Poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women and children are separated. Children come home from school to find their parents have disappeared.
The Law of Unintended Consequences is casting a wide net.

Last night, Olympic-swimmer-turned-professional-transgenderphobe Riley Gaines was horrified....HORRIFIED I tell you! to learn that her husband of three years, who is a British subject, had been denied the American citizenship he had applied for, was now in violation of overstaying his visa, would not be issued a permanent green card and was subject to immediate detention and deportation by ICE.

Needless to say, this is a WHITE HETEROSEXUAL MAN we are talking about here!

Why was he denied American citizenship AND permanent resident status?

Because he was exercising his right as a British Crown Subject to reject any and all vaccinations required as a condition of approval to remain within the United States.

He's a hardcore antivaxxer, and he has rights Gosh Dang It and he's simply exercising his RIGHTS and in any event, did we point out that he is WHITE and compliance with citizenship requirements established by law are all negotiable?

I will light a candle for poor Riley.
Who has been unjustly deported?
See above

I think he'll win on the premise that even though all people within our borders and territories are afforded protections under our legal system migrants here illegally are still under the jurisdiction of their country of origin regardless of their intention to pledge allegiance to our system of governance. Till they become legally recognized nothing they do can be regarded as legal including birthright citizenship. *ALL PEOPLE*, legal or illegal, that occupy space in our country are under the jurisdiction of our laws and obligated to obey them. Being here does not absolve the legal jurisdiction of their country of origin. This is strictly my opinion.

I know some will challenge the fact of dual citizenship.

The US has been arresting and deporting about 2,500 people a week in recent years.

I wonder if the number has actually gone up or if there are just more TV cameras at the deportations?

The administration is desperate to look like it’s doing something, even if it isn’t.
Interestingly, ICE is targeting businesses who historically hire undocumented immigrants at substandard wages.
They have so far eschewed the raiding the actual homes of undocumented immigrants.
Why?

Because the Trump administration DOJ has not yet gotten around to re-interpreting that pesky Fourth Amendment, with its burdensome requirement to have a federal judge sign off on a search warrant to enter someone's home, even if they are on "official bidness".

Instead, they've opted to close down individual businesses, putting a cordon around a business, prevent customers from entering and employees from leaving. They use a quite-official looking "administrative warrant" which sure does look impressive but lacks legal standing (as I understand it).

An "administrative warrant", a huge show of force, ICE officers in full-scale body armor, equipped with laser sighted weapons and most important of all, a demonstrated antipathy toward non-whites all combine to make for spectacular optics, that the Trump administration is "doing something" about immigrants (both legal and undocumented).

ICE officers are incentivized to be aggressive. The most aggressive agent on a raid is permitted the great honor of kicking in stall doors in the ladies restroom(s) on the next raid. If this person finds an undocumented woman actually using the toilet, the officer's body cam footage is uploaded to a private Telegram channel called "ICE - The Shit We Endure Daily".
