I told myself that after I graduated high school I would take a year off to research education and career opportunities. Then I was going to continue my education at a community college or trade school, finish, then start a career.
It's been 3 1/2 years since I graduated and I keep pressing my mother about why I can't continue my education and she keeps misleading me.
I can't do this by myself because I have absolutely no money or means of transportation. I was told that these things would be taken care of financially. Obviously I was HORRIBLY lied to and mislead.
I also don't have any health insurance and I am disinformed about that as well.
My family has almost $1,000,000 in the bank and I can't understand for the life of me why these things would be unaffordable and unattainable. I get stonewalled whenever I inquire about it.
Living at home with my family is like a bad CIA movie. Closed door conversations, private phone calls, mysterious arguing, papers being burned or shredded, etc... This cloak and dagger bullshit makes me angry to the point where I want to hit someone!
I should have just gotten a job (any job I could find) immediately after finishing high school. Of course I would need to take public transportation or have someone take me to work due to the fact I don't have a drivers license (I am in no mental state to be operating a motor vehicle, it wouldn't be safe)
I deeply regret not having sought employment after graduating from HS. I didn't know that education, health insurance, getting a car, and so forth would be so difficult to obtain. My job options with only a high school diploma are EXTREMELY limited, and that's not even mentioning the weak economy. I thought I'd earn an associates degree from a community college and then see where I went from there. Maybe transfer to $5,000 per year state university.
Is it true that you have to pay a health insurance company thousands upon thousands of dollars before they activate your insurance plan? This could be the reason why getting a private health insurance plan has been a grueling 1 1/2 year long rouse of being lied to and mislead. I wish someone would just fucking tell me and not light up a cigarette and get testy every time I ask. I used to be on a family plan but it expired because I got too old.
It's absolutely inconceivable how a mother would lie to and intentionally mislead her own son about his future. Most parents have money and assets set aside for these things. I have no idea what the fuck is going on because nobody tells me anything. They just drink wine, light up cigarettes, and cry.
I need an education, I don't want to be stuck working at McDonalds or the home depot for the rest of my life.
