I had a thought the other day inspired by a picture i saw of the labia sewn up with ribbon looped through piercings, has anyone tried using eyelets stuck using super glue, which could be easily removed with a solvent? it was as i said just an idea

Maybe its just me but the idea of using super glue or anything like that, to close the vagina area sounds like a horrible idea that could go wrong in so many ways. At least, thats my pussy's opinion.

I'd agree - but I personally would have problems with a needle down there, too.

Le sigh. I had a hood piercing and a fourchette once. I always wanted to have my inner labia pierced, too. I used to be a needle slut. Then, I realized that I really didn't care for the jewelry once it was in; I was only having the piercings done because I loved the way it made me feel right after it was done, endorphin whore that I am. So I took the jewelry out 'cause it irritated the hell out of me. I would have loved to have gotten into play piercing, but, alas...it's one of those things it's hard to find someone to do.

Makes me long for my bottoming days again.

Not crazy about the superglue idea, though. My skin's sensitive and prone to reactions.

There is this one cultural practice that is preformed primarily in Africa these days...Its female circumscion but they sew up the remaing skin so it has to be cut to give birth and for intercourse it is ripped.

That is what the origianl post reminded me of.

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is not at ALL the same thing as infibulation (erotic sewing). Yes, the procedure might be the same, but the purpose is not, and they are very, very different things. FGM is supposed to preserve chastity, but it's usually performed on young girls who end up a mass of scar tissue down there. I have seen some pretty dramatic FGM pictures and these women have no hope of having a normal sex life, ever. FGM is cruel and harmful, and it doesn't keep the girl from trying, so it's also basically useless. She still wants to do stuff, she just has a hard time figuring out how.

Infibulation, however, is fucking awesome. I have seen it done with a set of rings along the labia and cord run through them, I have seen it with strong thread sewn directly onto the labia, and I have seen it with fishing line done the same way, or just by closing the vaginal opening. I find infibulation erotic, and if done properly it can be beautiful. Most of the time it is a temporary thing, for a few hours or a few days etc. Sometimes female chastity is enforced this way but that's usually in committed relationships.

If you get a Hard-level membership to BMEzine.com, you can see a few hundred pictures of infibulation. I was just looking at them earlier tonight actually, before I saw this thread! Lots of good ones in there.

Oh, I could totally see doing it. You'd want to shave first, and pee right before you do it. It could be fun for a couple of hours, definitely. You couldn't do it long term because it wouldn't allow for urination or menstruation, but it could be fun for a short while. All you need to undo it is a nice acetone soak I think? It would take a while using cotton balls, but if you actually sat in a little tray of acetone for a while I'd think it would be okay.

Not on mucous membranes though...outer labia would work best.

Don't know about that Etoile, superglue was developed to hold skin and organs together on the battlefield, so it may well stick, but sitting in a tray of acetone, eeek its times like that my imagination works against me.....brave girl :rose:

Actually, it was discovered by accident rather than "developed" - and they were working on making weaponry when they found it around 1942! It was used in spray form in the Vietnam war in 1966, mostly to stop bleeding long enough to get the injured back to the hospital. I'm not sure that it was used to hold skin and organs together exactly, and I don't think that's an FDA-approved use.

And I don't think a tray of acetone would be all that bad. Might be cool and sting a bit but I don't think it would be dangerous.

I think we are both right. I did a term paper on the topic of female circumsiion last year. Although I do not agree with the practice I have to allow each culture their own practices. Female circumsicion is practiced in several forms, one of which is indeed Infibulation. I was not refering to the newer model which involves piercings as you are but the model which is rather primitive. I copied the defintion and cited the source.

Female "circumcision" involves various procedures that remove part or all of the clitoris. The following list was taken from The World Health Organization, Female Genital Mutilation Fact Sheet No. 241, June 2000:

Type I — Clitoridectomy Removal of the prepuce (the hood of the clitoris), with or without all or part of the clitoris.

Type II — Excision The clitoris is removed with partial or total excision of the labia minora (inner lips of the vulva).

Type III — Infibulation
Involves removal of all or part of the clitoris and the inner and outer lips (labia majora) of the vulva. The raw skin is then stitched together, leaving a tiny opening for urination and menstruation. The scar re-opens during childbirth and is re-stitched.

Type IV
Pricking, piercing, cutting, or stretching the clitoris and/or labia; burning of the clitoris and surrounding tissue; scraping or cutting the vagina; using corrosive substances in the vagina to cause bleeding; or, using herbs to narrow or tighten the vagina.

Btw, preserving chasity is one of several reasons for female circumsicion. Although not all of them make sense it is also for sanitation, beauty, rites of passage, preservation of the male dominated social order, marriage and chasity.

Oh, I agree with you completely on the definition of FGM! My point was that FGM is not being discussed here. It's a cultural practice, not an erotic one. And I think the thread was meant to be about temporary infibulation/chastity rather than actual ritualistic FGM.

You would probably be very interested in a thread we had not long ago called "Female Circumcision" - I will try to bump it for you.

Yep, my thoughts on it were purely for fun, as against the ritualistic reason.

I know volumes have been spoken on that in other threads, personally i think its barbaric, but if we can keep the two apart
