I would like to point out that I said Dryer Lint would not survive a year and that they were full of corrupt people which is why I never, ever, ever asked for an invite there, or even browsed there more than a few times.

I said that Dryer Lint would not make it because the people who ruined the General Board left the GB to form Lint but they would fail because they took all their mental shortcomings with them.

I predicted this right off the bat because I know people.

I take your point about the mods reading mails, but how much of that was truth and how much paranoia/propaganda does anyone truly know? And I don't believe it IS so very different to someone mailing another member a closed, private mail and for that person then to take that copyrighted material and publishing it on an open forum for personal ridicule. If anything, the second is worse since it has greater potential to damage a person's reputation. Any abuse of power is a nasty event and ought to be stubbed out. Any mods pulling stunts on my site simply were no longer mods. Only happened once, and it had nothing to do with pms. But even moderate power went to that person's head. It can happen. If changes don't take place to amend these trespasses, then a site can remain tarnished permanently. Some of the people shouting the loudest here are also those who give the most grief to other posters. No?

bronze just admitted there was, at one point, a 'go slow' to make the site bug for people they didn't like.

thing is, when you know the shit they DID do then you doubt they didn't do the stuff they really didn't do.

Oh, probably about a year now. I kinda gave up lint when I finished doing the Secret Santa.

I tried to access lint only a few weeks ago though. That's when I got the access denied type message and decided they must have moved things again and I'd not been re-invited.

On Lit, tomorrow does erase yesterday. There are no consequences to what you do here. This was told to me several times by the same people who said there wasn't a damned thing I could do about being called racial slurs, etc.; these same folks are now pissed that I learned that lesson well and applied it right back on them, in that they can do absolutely nothing about me.

Thing is, I am on another internet community... or two... or three... where people are cool with each other. I don't see much drama outside of Lit. No one starts shit with me, so I don't have to bite back.

yes, I can understand this issue. It's not for me to tell anyone else how to run their site - I certainly didn't run mine by some sort of democracy or consensus. It was my site and I made the decisions (with some input from the ex - a BIG mistake).
