I used to belong to a professional theater troupe that performed Old West melodramas. When I was 17, I held a role that required me to prance around the stage in saloon-girl lingerie while singing bad Italian opera.

When I was in Germany, I played a male role in a Midsummer Night's Dream. I was one of the actors in the 'play within the play' - the one who played the lion. Badly.

One of these days, I'll play a role where I get to emphasize my talent, not the lack thereof.

I used to perform as a minstrel at my university's Ren Faire. I got to perform before "King Henry VIII" and almost made his player choke on a chicken leg after singing a particularly bawdy (yet historically accurate) ballad. After that, the guests kept pounding their tankards on the table and calling for 'the wench' to come back. Ah, my fifteen minutes, come and gone.

I showed up to a live action role-play game in drag once. I realized that in drag, I look like a short fat Italian man. I also learned that binding doesn't hurt as much as I thought it would.

This is starting to sound like a therapy session. I'll stop now.
