I made a pumpkin dump cake today.

We gutted, then added shelves to an old cabinet to re-purpose the cabinet so the hubs has a place to store his man stuff.

Watched some college football.

Pretty boring, but boring is good, as this was my "catch patients before they hit the floor" week. Seriously, somebody, every single day, tried to meet the floor all up close and personal like.

I washed my bed sheets, did all the laundry, baked a Coca-Cola cake, cooked supper, cleaned up the kitchen, got a shower & I'm wide awake at almost 3am!!!

Biden - that kind of boring is perfection after the kind of week you experienced


met Elle and Gianbattista in town + their 2 dogs on Friday ; walked across the tower bridge which is something i've never done before even though i've been into the city countless times (which gave new and impressive visuals of the architecture); was given a bountiful basket (from Elle) of apples & pears from their garden, a blackberry cake, and a box of home-made baci di dama - all of which taste fab; shared many comforting, everyday happy evening chats with Harry; didn't blow my stack when no2 son said something that made me want to hit the roof; worked all week except Friday and coped with electricians and a minor flood there AND smashed our weekly target; weighed myself and have lost half the weight i put back on between jobs. I have apple and pears to cook in a tart or crumble, a freezer filled with yummy stuff, a pot of coffee on the go and just laundry n stuff to do today.
