Tell me everything you ever felt about everything ever, especially about Moby Dick.

I'd rather sport a handlebar moustache than muttenchops anyday.

I would think such a discussion would at least require a glass of cabernet.

Sometimes, if I squint my eyes and tilt my head to the left, I look like someone squinting their eyes and tilting their head to the left.

Now that would be the making of yet another Hannibal sequel.

I read 'To Kill a Mockingbird', 'Lord of the Flies' and 'Huck Finn', but never 'Moby Dick'. Sorry can't help ya :(

Starbuck is an old Nantucket name. So is Macy. When I first heard of the coffee chain (can you remember there was a time before Starbucks, when coffee wasn't sold in a special coffee store, but just a regular deli?), Nantucket was the first thing I thought of. One of the Macys went off-island and opened some kind of dry-goods store in New York City--made out alright from what I've heard.

Loved it times twenty; liked it lots; loved it times fifteen; and never read it.

This thread isn't only about Moby Dick. Tell me everything you ever felt abut everything ever. [fn1] Did you see Heathers? Moby Dick plays a central role in it.

[fn1] Offer expires at midnight GMT.

Heathers?! Never heard of it, but if its a movie, it will probably reach this third world country in about another decade or two.

What do you want to know...is this general knowledge stuff, or do ya really care what I think? ;)

Fuck , I didn't even catch that! The first mate of the Pequod!

It was made about a decade ago, so start checking your video stores any year now!

The latter, of course. I quite like your screen name choice, so that naturally predisposes me towards your posts.

Ok, since you asked so nicely. I am a woman, with decent sized hooters, I dig chicks too...been with only one but she was too high maintenance so I had to cut her loose...and its because of her that I'm leary of having female 'mates'.

I love Starbuck's (the entire experience), I'm over my chocoholic stage, I love to read in the bathtub - and the tub must be steaming hot and with TONS of bubbles. I don't smoke, or drink...ok, occasionally I'll have a glass of Merlot. I hate seafood, love steak.

I admire people who take a leap every now and then (not a flying one - just live outside their box occasionally). I have been married, had my heart ripped to shreds too many times, however the one person I trust in this entire world is male.

My closest friends have never judged me, and I have done some seriously stupid shit. I long for snow, snuggling and living that Robbie Williams video 'Feel'...seen it? Ya should know why...HOT cowboys, and yes, snow. Ummmm does that cover it?

Thank you, Bent! That was a great summary of really interesting points. :D Haven't seen the Robbie Williams video, but living in Texas, I have seen my share of cowboys. No snow, though.

Queequeg was the name of Scully's dog in X Files.

_____

I think Moby Dick was a metaphor for a big, white whale.
