I've batted around the idea in my head a lot but I've always wanted to see more stories that had a succubus living the life of a young woman while satisfying her needs on the sides. the big idea, which I've actually done some work on is a comedic series about a stepsister who is a succubus and her stepbrother who has a sibling bond with her but often finds himself getting annoyed with her habits (in one story I'm writing, he is doing a project with someone who is sexually repressed (her favorite type of person to feed from) and has to keep preventing her from seducing his partner so he can pass a class (feelings don't steal souls but they do wear a person out and can leave them catatonic for a day if she isn't careful). Another idea I had was that she and her mom can go into dreams. It's used for seducing prey but they also use it just to talk to the step brother and his dad if they need anything. However, the stepbrother has a wet dream about his stepmom and has to keep the dream version of his stepmom a secret from his stepmom and sister while they are trying to make up with him for an argument they had earlier in the day.

However, I thought of a standalone idea or two.

For example, a girl has trouble fitting in at school and is approached by a cheerleader who tries to make friends with her. The cheerleader seems genuine but the girl has a history of being used by people like the cheerleader and rebuffs her. She eventually finds some comradeship with a group that claims to practice magic. After having success with calling on a demon, they decide to summon one to go after the more popular students. the demon pulls a few pranks and the group laughs about it at an assembly, which ticks off the people who were pranked. The cheerleader questions the girl and tries to get her to leave the group but she refuses. The group accuses her of confessing to what happened and then tells her that if she wants to prove herself, she'll need to have the demon target the cheerleader. she does so but the group changes the severity of what the demon is supposed to do, making it a full on assault.

The demon goes off to do their bidding and returns a minute later, looking terrified, begging them to banish him. Before he can explain why, the cheerleader appears on the summoning circle, banishes him, and then shatters the circle, stepping out of it. She grows wings, has a snake tail emerge and has her eyes glow with rage as she decides what to do with them.

Demons and angels do not have 'needs' but rather drives. Angels are messengers; messages may be sexual. Demons are messengers of really bad news, sexual or otherwise. Both are tools of greater powers with their own agendas. Or are those greater powers merely playing a power game? If a succubus or incubus (or angel) comes to 'help' a human, beware -- doom likely ensues, unless that or some other human finds a way to control and divert the spirit. Hilarity can then ensue. Sic the demon/angel on some other poor sucker, yeah! Or is that 'controlling' human merely a tool of the opposition? Lots of moral ambiguity there.

I mean, demons and angels have a pretty flexible mythology in popular culture. I mean, it would be like if the Anne rice version of vampires was tossed out because they were capable of attacking people that went to church and didn't stay in tombs chewing their toes. Or if every image of Gabriel had to be changed to a glowing ball of fire surrounded by thousands of wings...and it was murdering children.

Though, going with an older version, we could have a story where a succubus seduces a guy to get his semen, before changing into an incubus to impregnate a woman, causing conflict in a community

I wish more fiction was like Evangelion and kept the bizarre, crazy-looking angels.

Angels, demons and other supernatural critters have a fair amount of leeway even in the original texts. Angels are clearly capable of taking human form. Close enough at any rate that when two go to Soddom people know they are 'special' somehow but they clearly aren't walking around sporting three sets of wings and six faces. There are multiple other cases of them communicating with humans and nothing ever really suggests that the people are freaked by their appearances.

On subject I like the idea. Though as usual I would cut the "extra" steps. I think in the mom and sister version you'd almost be better off simply replacing the succubus with a telepath since clearly the important detail here is "don't think about mom, don't think about mom" and the first one is almost standard honry sister trope. Interesting yes, but the Demon is just kind of extra baggage with little apparent purpose. Doesn't mean you have to cut it mind you just that as it stands it seems extra.

The stand alone idea is fun, especially from a horror comedy sort of stance.

Fair enough. I see what you mean about simplifying things as it would make things more palatable.

I've started to think that the other idea would be a good Halloween story, with the climax occurring on all-hallows eve. it would allow for some fun things like animated pumpkins and forcing them wear skimpy Halloween costumes and go to parties.
