(My character is the one between Batman and Batgirl, but instead of the two sticks, he uses an extendable staff and wears a black trenchcoat with a utility belt. Kind of like Gambit)

Real Name: Dick Grayson
Age: 18
Birthday: August 1st
Birthplace: Gotham City, New Jersey
Occupation: Student at Columbia University
Relationship Status: Single
Team Status: Founding Member, Leader

Skills

Dick possesses the peak athletic strength and endurance of a man who regularly engages in intensive physical exercise. His martial arts skills rival those of Batman, and he was rigorously trained by his mentor in everything from escapology to criminology, fencing, stealth, disguise, and numerous other combat/non-combat disciplines. He is fluent in a number of languages and had the finest education as Bruce Wayne's adopted son.

Gear/Equipment

Dick has a number of gadgets in his utility belt, including shuriken that explode on contact, a pen that shoots out a tiny tracking device that sticks to any surface, and several dozen modified batarangs (called wing-dings) along with de-cel jumplines and gas capsules to reach the tops of buildings.

He has a state-of-the-art motorcycle complete with an onboard computer and built in wifi, as well as a helmet that connects wirelessly to the computer with audio and video feedback and communications capabilities. The helmet also has nightvision and a heads-up display on the inside of the visor.

His costume is made of a version of the Nomex fire-resistant, triple-weave Kevlar-lined material. It is an excellent protection against damage, and also insulated against electricity. Both the suit and the trenchcoat he wears are fireproof, and his mask is held in place with spirit gum.

Powers/Abilities

Dick has no superhuman powers, and relies solely on technology and his own wits.

Background

When Dick was nine, his parents were killed by Tony Zucco, a gangster who wanted Dick's father to fight for him in mixed martial arts tournaments. The Graysons refused, wanting to be left alone to run their karate school. Zucco killed then and burned their school to the ground, and Dick just barely escaped.

Bruce Wayne had been good friends with John and Mary Grayson, and they had named him Dick's godfather, so he went to live at Wayne Manor. It was only a matter of time before the boy discovered his godfather was Batman, and soon he too was learning to fight crime and took on the alias of Robin.

Over his eight years as the Dark Knight's sidekick and apprentice, Dick met many other heroes, and even started a relationship with Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) when he was fifteen. They dated on and off for the next three years, until Dick decided it was time to strike out on his own and left Gotham, passing down the mantle of Robin to Jason Todd and moving to New York City.

Ben 10
Real Name: Ben Tennyson
Age: 19
Birthday: June 31
Occupation: Plumber (think MIB)

Skills

No discernable skills. If anything his general ability to simply power out of a situation has generally stunted any skill aside from his general mechanical skills and even those are well below his potential.

Gear/Equipment

The Ultimatrix. An alien device originally created to allow different beings to "walk a mile in each other's shoes" and thus understand them better. It was designed to bring the universe together. It's secondary purpose is a sort of ark as it holds samples of the DNA of every sentient species in the Milky Way.

Unfortunately for Ben Azumuth (the creator of the Ultimatrix) is a bit of a jerk and also largely a pacifist. He allows Ben to use the Ultimatrix as a weapon which runs entirely contrary to it's purpose but he also limits him to ten forms chosen by him. Ben has tried (both alone and with help) to jail break the Ultimatrix multiple times and the best scenario is it does nothing but usually it's either limited his transformations further or worse. At full potential something Azmuth would only unlock if the multiverse (not Universe, for that he might unlock more of it's power but not the full potential) it could turn him into any species including Kryptonian but again this requires permission from the creator and thus far has proven to be hack proof even by the greatest minds.

Powers/Abilities

His powers are limited to whatever form he's in but he has the ability to change form into different aliens. (I don't plan on using a whole lot, probably not even the full ten that he should have access to but I also (within reason) want to keep my options open for specific oddities rather than picking out ten and trying to pick the ten that would solve any situation.)

Background

When ben was spending the summer with his grandfather Azimuth sent the Omnitrix to his grandfather. His DNA was close enough to his grandfather that the Omnitrix mistook him for his grandfather and fused onto his wrist. Several years and adventures later he eventually was granted axcess to the Ultimatrix a more powerful version of his "watch". He first met then Robin during the Vilgax/Darkseid invasion of 2008 and since has made a habit of keeping in touch.

Having recently broken ties with his cousin and, not that he'd admit it, best friend Benran solo for a few months prior to hearing about the Titans forming. He's used to if not being solo being the leader and as such teamwork is really not his greatest asset.

As a result of being versatile with his ten and often times more than that aliens he's usually prone to charging into a situation confident that once he sees it he'll have an appropriate solution. Of course since he charges in without looking he's often times in over his head long before he realizes how far up shit's creek he is.

Real name: Eliza Kennis

Age: 19

Birthday: June 4th

Occupation: Model

Relationship Status: Single

Team Status: Founding Member

Appearance: Eliza is tall and willowy thin, with a lithe toned body. But her most distinguishing quirk is her albinism, her skin is almost unnaturally pale, her hair is pure white. Her eyes, as with all true albinos are a pale pink. These qualities are also carried over in her lycanthropy, her body twists and reforms agonisingly, fur grows rapidly and bones reform leaving her in a relatively humanoid form but more muscled, clawed and with a snarling wolfs head and snout.

Skills:
Eliza is fluent in multiple languages, including Latin, French, German and Greek, among others. In addition to this she is adept in a variety of unarmed combat disciplines, though by no means an expert, more blending styles together to produce her own, unpredictable fighting method which she has also developed from regular parkour training. She is also an able pistol marksman.

Gear/Equipment:
Eliza carries a single M9A1 pistol in brushed steel with a dual laser/torch mounted on it, along with a number of spare magazines in a shoulder holster.

Her suit is mostly white with grey armour panels on her chest and back, as well as greaves and bracers on her lower legs and arms. Added to this is a simple grey eye mask to conceal her identity. The suit itself has a slim, lightweight utility belt containing mostly a few hypodermic syringes and spare wolfsbane solutions.

Powers/Abilities:
Eliza is possessed of incredibly fast reflexes and enhanced senses of smell and hearing. She is also far stronger than her lithe form would otherwise suggest, although she is not stronger than a human is capable of with the correct training. She heals marginally quicker than normal humans, not instantaneously by any means, but certainly faster than usual, a broken limb for example would be healed after only a few weeks instead of the usual few months and to date she has not scarred. Perhaps due to this she is incredibly resilient and hard to kill, recovering from wounds that would normally be fatal.

However, these abilities come at a price, the wolfsbane in her utility pouch has a purpose. Should she for some reason not take the solution regularly a deeper, more animal form will surface. This werewolf is far faster, stronger and tougher than any human could hope to be, and utterly merciless. Eliza's personality is almost entirely subsumed and it is a long hard struggle for her to regain control of her body without the aid of Wolfsbane.

Background:
Eliza was created purely for the purpose of the laboratory, seventh in a batch of clones rapid grown to maturity, a magic number perhaps. Her level of knowledge would seem strange from such a technically short lifespan, but is in fact a result of learning techniques and experiments applied during her creation, it is possibly also this that has resulted in her albinism. The military laboratory was experimenting with various serums intended to unlock new levels of endurance and strength in humans. The serum tested on specimen G7unlocked something, a long forgotten alleyway in the cycle of human evolution, sealed off by nature.

Needless to say the same result was never achieved again, when the serum had fully bonded with her cells it took over and after breaking out she slaughtered the scientists and guards before fleeing the facility, feral and wild.

It wasn't long before G7 found her way to the city, starving and out of control she began to slaughter her way across the city, picking on isolated people before returning back to her 'lair'. It wasn't long before someone noticed the similarities in the killings. Slade was the first to find her however, and with his own abilities resulting from not dissimilar experiments subdued her. Dr Light synthesised a formula which could return her to human form and for a short while Slade added her to his team, providing her with an identity.

But as she was now capable of rational thought her own personality was forming, one in opposition to Slade's aims. Horrified at herself and her previous crimes she fled again, taking with her all the wolfsbane she could steal. It wasn't long before she was tracked down by Nightwing. What he knew of her past crimes she didn't know, but she joined him in his fight against Slade and Dr Light, creating a new identity for herself. But her past she kept secret, the only ones who know the truth are herself, Slade and Nightwing.

Blue Beetle

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o178/TheJeffinator/Blue_Beetle_Jaime_Reyes_012.jpg

Real Name: Jaime Reyes
Age: 18
Birthday: July 7th
Birthplace: El Paso, Texas
Occupation: Student at New York University
Relationship Status: Single
Team Status: Founding Member

Skills

Jaime was rather average prior to becoming the Blue Beetle, but upon joining with the scarab, his brain activity increased tenfold. Thus, through his connection to the AI system of the scarab, he knows many languages, advanced mathematics, and has a photographic memory.

Gear/Equipment

In addition to the mental improvements mentioned above, Jaime also has the ability to see energy around him, and the scarab allows him to harness that energy as a bright blue aura. The scarab can also increase its mass and form a suit of powered armor around Jaime, making his powers stronger. While the suit is active, he can connect to computer systems and communicate with radios, cellphones, and various other methods.

Powers/Abilities

When in normal form, Jaime has slightly increased strength, speed, and agility, and the ability to harness blue energy. When he activates the battle armor form, these powers become much stronger, even allowing him to use the blue energy to fly or generate an advanced form of telekinesis.

Background

Jaime grew up in El Paso, Texas with his parents and younger sister. One night when he was seventeen, he saw what looked like a bright blue shooting star crash into a wide field, and ran to go investigate. There was a small crater and a bluish metal sphere, but as Jaime approached it, it suddenly changed form and a large blue robotic beetle leapt at him. It dug its way into Jaime's spine and caused him to fall to the ground in pain.

After the pain subsided, Jaime laid there as his mind was bombarded with new sounds and images. Then suddenly he saw a bright flash of gold, and a costumed hero stood before him -- Booster Gold. The hero revealed he was from four hundred years in the future, and that he followed the scarab through a time portal that threw them into Earth's upper atmosphere. He chased the scarab as it fell to the ground, temporarily losing sight of it before locating the crater.

He revealed that in the future, he was battling an evil scientist who, in a last ditch effort to keep his greatest creation, the scarab, from Booster Gold, he activated his prototype time portal and flung it into the past. Booster dove in after it, and the machine over-heated and exploded before the scientist could follow, closing the portal and trapping Booster and the scarab in the past.

At first, Booster didn't realize the portal was closed, and attempted to seize the scarab so he could return with it to the future. Upon realizing Jaime had it, he demanded he hand it over, and the threatening tone in Booster's voice caused the scarab to activate the battle armor and attack. Through sheer force of will, Jaime managed to gain control of the armor and powered down.

Upon realizing the scarab was attached to Jaime permanently and that the portal was closed anyway, Booster Gold told Jaime not to misuse the power and went off to make a name for himself in Metropolis. Meanwhile, Jaime kept the scarab a secret from his family and learned to better control it over several months. The AI, who called itself Khaji Da, or K.D. as Jaime called it, gradually warmed up to its host, acting as a guide and adviser.

Upon graduating highschool, Jaime went to Metropolis for the summer and worked as a sort of sidekick to Booster Gold, going by the name Blue Beetle. It didn't take long, however, for Jaime to realize Booster Gold was cocky and was obsessed with fame and fortune. Superman chased Booster out of Metropolis, and Jaime decided to go to college in New York City, and continued to fight crime on his own until meeting up with Nightwing and joining the Teen Titans.

I couldn't find a decent picture.

Beast Boy/Changeling

Name: Beast Boy (aka Changeling)
(Image forthcoming)

Identity: Gar Logan
Age: 20
Birthday: Not a clue, canonically. Let's say...June 21 for the rp
Birthplace:Oceanside, CA but raised in Kenya and various places in Africa
Occupation: Trust-fund baby, former television actor, sometime student
Relationship status: Depressingly single ;)

Team status: Founding member

Character history:
As a child, Garfield contracted a rare illness called Sakutia and was cured by a serum extracted from a green monkey. This serum had the unintended effect of turning his skin and hair green and gave him the ability to morph into any animal of his choice. All these animals remain a bright green in color, just as he is in human form.

After his parents' death, Garfield was placed in custody of Nicholas Galtry, the attorney for his parents' estate. Although Galtry was the legal guardian, Gar spent much time in Africa recuperating from his illness and learning how to make the most of his new abilities. During this time, Galtry embezzled most of the funds from Gar's inheritance. When Gar was finally able to return to the US, Galtry plotted to kill the boy and have all the wealth for himself.

This plot was discovered and thwarted by Gar and some strangers he had met briefly overseas and again on the trip back home. The strangers turned out to be members of an adventuring group (mostly metahumans, but not all) known as the Doom Patrol under the leadership of Dr. Niles Caulder.

Gar was adopted by Elasti-Girl and Mento, aka Rita and Steve Dayton, and served as something of a team mascot--although he also helped on many adventures with them, becoming more of a group sidekick.

He also worked as an actor, playing the role of an alien in the TV series Space Trek 2022 (which, even in the fictional setting, was a thinly disguised pastiche of Star Trek and Space: 1999, and was cancelled following threats of legal action on the grounds of plagiarism). It was while working on the show that the Doom Patrol was captured by the Brotherhood of Evil and blown up, presumably to their deaths.

This was a final straw for Gar, who dropped fulltime into crimefighting and trying to show that he was okay in spite of having lost or been betrayed by every important adult to ever enter his life from the time he was about six until his mid teens. Using money from his brief showbiz career and a stipend from Steve Dayton's estate--who had not been present at the demise of the rest of the Doom Patrol, because of being treated for mental illness caused by his psychomatic helmet--he has come to New York to attend college.

And have fun, too.

Powers:
Gar can shapeshift into any living creature with the only alterations to their physical form being that he can always speak and the creature is always a bright, almost day-glo green in colour. Usually, he only adopts animal forms as it is hard both mentally and physically to assume sentient lifeforms (as in human-level consciousness). He can both shrink and grow and drops or gains mass as necessary, large gains in size or mass are not held as long as other forms but it's not known if smaller forms can be held for longer periods.

Skills:
Gar had a number of mentors in the Doom Patrol, and picked up a variety of skills from them during the close, hectic (if brief) time he was with them.

Niles Caulder prompted Gar to have an interest in science but without bogging himself down with the usual scientific method--he is bright and intuitive, often making what might seem like sizable jumps in reasoning when puzzling through a problem.

Rita and Steve were excellent teachers in how to conduct oneself in the public eye--acting, speaking, carriage and, to a small extent, style were things that he picked up from them. (Lessons not always remembered, however, as Gar has a tendency to be sophomoric and run on at the mouth.)

He is in excellent physical health and is a midrange martial artist, primarily boxing that he learned from Cliff Steele, aka Robotman, although he tends to instinctively use the greater strength, agility, and physical attacks (claws, teeth) that his animal forms grant him.

Lastly, being brought up amid a mix of different cultures has given Gar a good sense of how to fit in among many different cliques; he also speaks a number of African languages on the conversational level as well as Afrikaans and French, and can recognize others when he hears them being spoken.

Terra

Real Name: Tara
Age: 19
Birthday: Unknown
Hometown: Unknown
Occupation: Odd Jobs
Relationship Status: Single
Team status: Founding Member

Skills: Terra is notorious for her swift, almost melodic-like movements and flexibility to get out of some of the most extreme situations. She also has a penchant for vocalizations and has been told her singing is very soothing to the ear.

Powers/Abilities: Terra has control over the Earth and can transform the consistency of earth and rock. She can use this power to cause earthquakes, tap into lava flows and levitate or create shapes out of solid rock.

Physical Appearance: (Because I am too lazy to find the picture that I normally used...) Terra has a tall, yet slightly slim frame. She has long, well-shaped legs and a curvy waist. Long, delicate strands of ebony-dyed hair grace her head and she has golden irises. Her skin is a light peach with a sun-touched golden appeal to it. Terra has a round appealing mouth a slightly oval face shape. She can usually be found wearing a black leather halter top with matching gloves and shorts.

Personality: Terra has a complex personality. She has this stubborn determination and habit of stating what's on her mind, and indeed, once her mind is made up, it is hard to change it. She also tends to be a bit frank due to her lack of people skills, but she doesn't mean anything by it. She gets annoyed easily and becomes rather flustered when she can't do accomplish something. Terra usually tries to hide it, but she actually has an inferiority complex and sometimes tries too hard to fit in. She hides her emotions behind a mask of confidence.

Background: Daughter to the King of Markovia, Tara Markov was born with special powers that allowed her control over the Earth. She showed promise at a young age was expected to be a great asset to her father's kingdom. However, when she was seven, she and her brother decided to be mischievous and play around with their powers in a restricted area outside of their kingdom, even though it was forbidden. In the midst of their playful banter, Terra lost control over her powers and inadvertently caused an earthquake. The ground breaking beneath her feet, she struggled to reach for her brother's hand, but she slipped and fell into the chasm below. The Royal Guard came to inspect the disruption and search for Tara, but finding nothing, the Kingdom considered her to be dead and mourned the loss.

Of course, Tara wasn't dead at all. She had fallen onto a ledge below and was soon found by an elder woman who sensed that there was a life spirit somewhere nearby. Using her own powers, she rescued Tara from the ledge and took her home. When Tara came to, it was apparent that she had amnesia - the only thing she remembered was her name, due to the pendant that she wore around her neck. Hearing the girl's name, the woman realized that it wasn't safe for them to stay so close to Markovia anymore and after convincing Tara that she was indeed her own daughter, the elder woman packed up and fled the country with the girl. They relocated to a small town in California.

So the older woman raised Tara as her own for four years and Tara lived happily without the knowledge of her past and real family. But then one night, with Tara at the age of 11, their peace was shattered when some burglars broke into their home. Tara tapped into some of her power out of anger of seeing her 'mother' attacked and easily took care of the burglars, however she lost control again and her powers caused another earthquake. The older woman was gravely injured and died in Tara's arms. Consumed with guilt and feeling like a monster, she ran away and using the old woman's money bought a bus ticket to New York.

Fast forward a few years. Tara is now 19 and in NYC, living in an old run-down apartment. She's been taking odd jobs to pay for the rent and a bite to eat since she left Cali. She's learned to control her powers to a certain degree, but has to keep herself in check in fear of losing control again. She goes by the name Terra, which is a play off of her real name, which she no longer acknowledges. She did an odd job that ended up with her using her powers mildly to beat up a few thugs, an act that was noticed by Dick who had been passing through the area. After reassuring her that he wasn't someone she needed to feel threatened by, Dick and Terra met up a few times to talk and he even showed her some ways to control her powers more efficiently. Hence why she got the invite, blah blah. (Yay for semi-recycled profiles.)

The Shadow

Real Name: Carl Williams

Age: 20

Birthday: January 12th

Occupation: Student and part time Barista at the campus coffee shop.

Relationship Status: Single

Team Status: Founding Member

Skills

Carl keeps himself in shape running every morning and afternoon. He trained to black belt in Karate and Judo but has since allowed his training to lapse and is decidedly rusty.

Gear/Equipment

The Shadow Mask, this is the source of all Carl's powers, and while it belongs to a suit of armour that is no longer complete it still grants powerful magical abilities.

Powers/Abilities

The Shadow Mask is the direct source of all Carl's powers and without it he is just another average human being. When wearing it however, he gains extraordinary abilities. Although he has not mastered, or even discovered all of it's abilities, he knows that currently he can draw shadows around himself to conceal his presence, as well as obscure others vision. Occasionally he has managed to use the shadows as a physical force, but this isn't an ability he has yet mastered, happening instinctively rather than under control.

Background

Carl's parents died in a plane crash when he was young and he was left in the care of his rapidly failing grandmother, she was beginning to suffer the initial symptoms of dementia and unsurprisingly his childhood was not a happy one.

However he was devoted to his grandmother, looking after her and keeping her true condition a secret. When he was 18 she died and he was left rootless, he left California to study Medieval History at Columbia University, New York, taking a part time job in the campus coffee shop to help pay.

He is a kind and caring person, often on hand to help friends or even complete strangers. It was while pursuing a project at The Cloisters that he witnessed a robbery, a young man rushed past him clutching a bag of stolen valuables taken from smashed display cases. Carl swiftly gave chase, tackling the man and bringing him down. It wasn't until he got back to his apartment that he discovered the mask in his bag. The thief must have slipped it into his bag as he rushed past.

Deciding he would return the mask first thing the next morning, he left it on the side table, but, before he went to bed he couldn't resist trying the thing on, it had a dark allure. Once he was wearing it a black suit and cloak formed on his body, flowing down from the spiked mask.

Realising what he had discovered he left his apartment, out into the night to do good. He returned early in the morning, flushed from the night, he hadn't done much, but a few muggers were cursing their luck and nursing sore heads as a man had stepped out of the shadows and clocked them one as they were making their living.

Something like this couldn't be left to gather dust in a museum, and they had obviously not noticed it missing. Carl couldn't leave it there when he could use it to do good.

Background of the Shadow Mask

Sorcery has ever been a source of power in the world, but with sorcery come Demons and it was a terrible day when Az'Baddon, Lord of Shadows, the Dark One was summoned into the world. One of those tales from medieval Europe dismissed by most historians, Az'Baddon was no story. The Demon slaughtered his way across Europe, burning villages and towns with equal ease. It was not until a coven of powerful magicians formed to oppose his power that he was stopped.

Luring him into a trap in Kiev, the magicians wrought the most powerful spell seen now or since, one that did not simply banish Az'Baddon, as most thought was the only solution, but seared his mind, obliterating his consciousness and sealing his power into an ornate suit of armour.

The suit was used by the magic colleges until some great, unknown catastrophe shattered their power. This same event cause the armour to be scattered over the world, the mask was dug up in France and loaned to The Cloisters museum by a French collector.

Real name: Jenny Miller

Age: 19

Birthday: July 3rd

Occupation: Reporter, student, intern

Skills:
Intelligent, good writer, quick thinker, always getting into some kind of trouble, can usually distract someone if she wanted to, curious

Gear/Equipment:
A pencil, notepad, eraser, laptop, camera, her mind

Powers/Abilities:
Unknown

Background:
Jenny seems to be very human. Although she has no powers that she knows of, she is fascinated by the idea of superheroes. One time, when she was younger, she ran into the middle of the street when someone grabbed her and flew into the air. A car crashed right where she had been. The man simply flew back down and went on his way. She did research, and found evidence of superheroes in many areas.

She went to college to become a reporter, and got a job/internship at the local newspaper. She covered crime investigations, including bank robberies. She saw Dick Grayson in the library one day, and felt drawn to him. He was very attractive, but she was shy and stayed away.

She often spends her free time photographing students around campus and people around the area. She also wrote fictional stories about heroes she imagined. One that fascinated her was Robin, who helped Batman.

Maybe one day, she'd get the courage to approach Dick.
