Just last night...on HBO Family channel...I watched, The Secret Garden which featured a 10 year old girl and boy...and immediately follow...on the same channel, an Artist's Special, on American Impressionist, Mary Cassatt...which also included a teen and a pre teen girl.
I recalled two other films...and I am sure there are more that will come to mind....Children On Their Birthdays....preteen or barely teen girl and The Boy Who Could Fly...again...an early teen girl.
From a male point of view...in high school and even in college, it seems to me that I remember 'girls' as being instigators, those who dared others...those who did silly, unique and sometimes dangerous things...on whim...spontaneously...
I find that in my writing, both erotic and non erotic...that young females often become the nexus for the transition from one level to another and not always in a sexual way....
Any thoughts?
