Ted Cruz And Lost Causes

Of course Cruz would have nothing to do with you clowns unless you went to Harvard. Keep loving him up anyway, it's cute.

Genuine discussion has nothing to do with Person A versus Person B.

It involves citizens discussing the country.

The trolls who toss insults like confetti online would all be timid gents in real life.

Obama, Pelosi, and Reid have repeatedly suggested that anybody who opposes their agenda is racist (when they know that isn't true) or hates poor people (when they know that isn't true).

Republicans don't need to lower themselves to this gutter level, but they do need to be willing to oppose socialized medicine.

Someone needs a good thump, it's stuck on st-st-st-stupid.

Seriously, repeating the same shit over and over again doesn't make it any more true. It just makes you look addled.

During his rant against "Obamacare" I wonder if Cruz saw the irony of reading Green Eggs and Ham.
I'm guessing not.

Between that and Herman Cain quoting Pokemon, i think I begin to see their end game. Locking up the youth vote in the '36 election. Brilliant!

This is a great thread.

It's like hearing someone out of shape that only started exercising for a month's length of time and who broke both his ankles 500 feet in from starting a ten-mile marathon desperately trying to convince himself and everyone else around him that he can finish the race and come in first place. While ignoring the pain that's making tears stream down his cheeks like the Rio Grande.

Good shit. :D

He was sent to Washington to represent his constituents, he's doing so. All else is bullshit.

Right. We appreciated his rendition of Green Eggs and Ham. I especially love the canned responses from his office in response to my signed petitions.

He states how hard he's working for the state of Texas while he wastes taxpayer money performing Green Eggs & Ham and doing everything he can to shut down the government. He and his Tea Party friends are so extreme they're trying to get John Cornyn kicked out. And you know how far to the right Cornyn is. The GOP is going down a black hole, and they can't even see it.

Funny how the same disdain was not hurled at the women in Texas when she stood up for the hours she did and tried to convince Texans to be allowed to kill babies.

Bias much?

Funny how the same disdain was not hurled . . .

Oh, it was, it was. Just by different people.

Wendy Davis' filibuster had a chance of working, and did work, at least until a special session was called. Cruz' non-filibuster was utterly hopeless and pointless save as grandstanding. And Davis did not embarrass Texas by comparing anti-choicers to Nazis.

Davis is going to run for governor, BTW. Vote for her.

Even though you're being extremely simplistic, I know she didn't read a story about someone who repeatedly refused to try something merely because he didn't like the sound of it.

Interesting. So Davis was trying to convince the state to kill babies. I guess if a woman has the choice between staying pregnant although it will kill her or because her fetus is dying, it's better the pregnancy continue because as we all know women aren't worth much and they have no rights to make decisions on their own health.

You betcha. I will be devoting time and money to Wendy Davis' campaign. Already volunteered to handle data processing heavy lifting, bulk email, hell I'll go door-to-door.

This is a clear opportunity to eradicate the anti-choice infection seeping into our nation.

I'm one of his constituents, and Squeaky doesn't represent me in any way.

Your response to this will likely be "So what if he 'doesn't represent you?' He won, you lost. Deal with it."

And my response to your response will be "You know, you're right. Those who lose elections should just deal with it."

Grandstand for the cameras, solicit donations, then quietly vote for something you swore on a stack of bibles you'd never support?

Some strategy there, pal.

Why did he do that? I mean it's not like he would have held anything up by making the vote 99-1. I'll admit I'm not clear on how exactly voting works in the Senate I would expect Republicans to throw up a bunch of no votes just to be on record and make this look like it wasn't bipartisan.

Hey, screw you there are plenty of adults playing Pokemon! Don't make me bust out my squirttle!
