Technical question re italics

Not sure if this is the forum to ask this, but...

I have a story that I want to submit which has a long passage in italics. When I preview the story in the submission procedure, the passage is italicised on the first page, but when i click to check the second page, all the formatting doesn't show up. Any ideas? I've posted it on an html site, so I know the formatting is ok.

Hmm, I'm not sure about this one. It might just show up in the preview because of how it converts the HTML. I'd try submitting it anyway. If that doesn't work, I would check where the next page starts, just end the italics tag there and start a new one.

Your advice is sound, Jen.

What I recommend my writer is to tag no more than 2 paragraphs at a time....that way there's more less risk of the story losing its formatting because of a change of page.
