Hey everyone,

I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum for this but I'm gonna post and ask anyhow.

I have a story idea in my head but I need some technical help on a couple of parts before I write it.

First, does anyone know what that jelly they use to help conduct sound waves while doing an Ultrasound at a Hospital is called?

Second, anyone familiar with the Domme / Submissive life style? If so can you tell me are there certain symbols that a woman who was a Domme might wear as a charm or a bracelet that would discreetly identify her as a Domme?
Is there the same type of thing that a Submissive might wear? You know something that only people familiar with the life style might recognize?

Can anyone help please?

It's KY Jelly.

I've heard of Doms/subs using Kanji symbols to denote their dominant or submissive tendencies.

It might not have been K-Y brand, but it was either a generic version or a closely related substnce.

I don't think there is a single product used to lubricate the head of a sonogram or ultra-sound machine. K-Y Jelly -- or a generic relative -- is ideal for the purpose because it's slick, acoustically transparent, chemically inert (so it doesn't corrode the pick-up) and easy to clean-up with a damp cloth.

For a story, it also has the advantage of being a recognisable brand name that doesn't require much explanation for the reader to recognise.
