Hey Guys,

I'm having trouble installing Adobes Flashplayer.

I seem to have no flash player at all on my laptop.

So I wanted to download it. I went to the website, clicked on "install now" and after that, I saw a screen saying that it should install immediately and after it's done, ther should be a short animation.

But then nothing happens.

What could be the problem.

I'm using Windows XP Home Edition and Internet Explorer. So it should be able to work.

I also tried to set my security settings to minimum, but that didn't change a thing.

Any help?

You might need to have Admin status to add programs.

Also a firewall sometimes prevents programs from installing -- XP has a built-in firewall even if you're not running a seperate one.

Well, I'm not sure whether I got admin status. I was able to install Quicktime for instance.

I definitely checked that there is no firewall active. I also tried deactivating the anti-virus programme and I set the security to minimum.

Damn it.

Well, actually it doesn't. Then again my Explorer doesn't seem to show any animated images or stuff like that. I checked all security settings and allowed all downloads and stuff but nothing happens. It's also showing script errors when I specifically unchecked that.

Strange.
