I've always used the INDENT function to create numbered lists, and -- talk about tunnel vision -- I've never even clicked on the ORDERED LIST and UNORDERED LIST tabs before.

Can someone point me to a post in someone's thread where I can see an example of how they are used; or, instead, just explain to me how to use them?

I appreciate it.

Ordered List (numbered). On clicking the tab enter word in prompt box. Click OK for next word... cancel to end list.
code view
HTML:
Ordered List (numbered)

[LIST=1]
[*]one
[*]two
[*]three
[/LIST]

Unordered list (bullet points)

[LIST]
[*]one
[*]two
[*]three
[/LIST]

displays as
Ordered List
  1. one
  2. two
  3. three

Unordered list (bullet points)
  • one
  • two
  • three

Cool, thanks. I'm playing with it to see if I can put it to use in my OOCs.

Something weird happened, and maybe you can tell me about this, too. When I initially looked at your response above, the section where you used [ Code ] and [/ Code] appeared as a window with the up and down scroll function on the right hand side, just like any normal "Windows" window ... but now that I opened it again, it's not there. WTF? :) That was cool! It's almost like "Spoilers" and "Hiders" that I used to use on another more advanced role play site.

One more question about the Lists. Do you know how to created "levels", such as:
1. One

2. Two

3. Three
a. A

b. B

4. Four

I really appreciate your help. Everything I've learned about using code in here I've learned from people who are actually here. It's nice to come across people willing to take the time.

HTML:
[LIST=1]
[*]one
[*]two
[LIST=a]
[*]one
[*]two
[/LIST]
[*]three
[/LIST]

displays as
  1. one
  2. two
    • one
    • two
  3. three

I had to add the following after the initial list was created... and needed to replace the "1" with the "a".
HTML:
[LIST=a]
[*]one
[*]two
[/LIST]

Replace the "1" with "I" or "i" and you get Roman numerals.

  • one
  • two
  • three
  • four

  • one
  • two
  • three
  • four

re. the changes in my post... I was trying to display the actual code... and used the "code" tab... didn't work so I edited the post and wrapped it with the html tab.

Wow... All I can come up with is ... wow.

Thank you very much. You have no idea how much time I spend switching numbers around in my OOCs, adding and deleting sections. This is going to make things so much better.

Oh, forgot to ask: Have you ever worked with hiders or spoilers, like they have on Roleplayers Guild? There isn't an equivalent here, is there?

this board allows a very simplified version of code... some don't allow any... some will allow almost pure html code (basic language that web pages are built upon).

...so what works here may not work elsewhere.

"hiders or spoilers" ...sorry no, I have not worked with them or indeed know what they are.

...this is the page you are after...
http://forum.literotica.com/misc.php?do=bbcode
Displays code that can be used in this board. The link to this page was at the very bottom of the page. Look for "vB code is On". Other boards should have a similar list of code that works for them.

...click on a code tag on the list on the left and it will take you to a detailed example of code and example of use.
