Teamsters To Target Amazon In Nationwide Push

That's not a thread. That's a CouselBore ramble with Bleitfart as a source.

How many Teamsters does it take to change a light bulb?

Twelve. You got a problem with that?

LOL.....Amazon on a strike day "You're all fucking fired, get the fuck off company property." .

Never understood what RWs have against organized labor, which is just a form of bargaining in the marketplace.

Personally, if I want to pay a group/organization to do something I'll just contract it out.

An employee is something else, an individual who is exchanging their time/skills/services for pay.

If the agreement is no longer good for you we can talk about it, but if you try and strong arm me I'll just fire you on principle. :)

There's no reason in principle, including free-market principle, why those individuals can't or shouldn't form an organization and bargain collectively.

Nope, they absolutely can, and I can fire them for it.

So can Bezos. :)

Nobody HAS to employ anyone....nobody is owed a job.

That is the point of organized labor -- to make sure you can't find any but union labor, with whom you will have to treat on union terms. And why should RWs have anything against that? It's all free-market.

Yes, I understand the concept of unionizing.

And why should RWs have anything against that?

As long as they don't put any guns (figuratively or literally) to anyone's head but their own??

Most don't.

It's all free-market.

Again, as long as it stays free.....cool. :)

People will turn against unions in a second once their stuff stops showing up on the doorstep. Never under estimate the power of useless shit at bargain prices with free next day delivery.

Or even more powerful...USEFUL shit at bargain prices with free next day delivery.

Lest we forget the great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020 where bitches were getting stabbed for paper products.

That ain't even hungry. :D

Why is Amazon even fighting this?! It's not like Bezos isn't making enough money!

For all the dumb sumbitches that don't understand why unions are good for the middle class:

Coincidence? Maybe for 4 or 5 years it might be considered to be. But the demise of unions and middle-class income going steadily downhill tracking so closely together for 45 years a coincidence? Not a fucking chance. Businesses and people like Bezos have spent the last 45 years telling the workers (and convincing a big number of them) unions are bad for them, when the facts show just the opposite.

Time for those who rode the union's coattails for so long to get off their collective asses and fight for what's due them.

Nitpick: Unions are supposed to exist for the working class, not the middle class.

A pick at your nitpick: your comment presupposes that the working class should not be in the middle class, which was the way of things for many of the working class before unions. But if you'd like to go back and read the history of unions in the U.S. you'll find that they elevated many of the working class to the middle class. The two are not mutually exclusive as you are implying.

Additionally, you do realize that everyone up the earning scale benefits from a wage raise for workers don't you? If a union gets a good wage negotiated, everyone up the ladder gets a bump. So in essence the unions do the work, put their ass on the line and everyone benefits.

A perfect example of boiling a clueless frog.

The wealthy kept raising the temperature on unions ever so slowly through incremental union busting tactics, and the middle class workers who had largely been created thanks to the organized efforts of unionized workers tolerated the heat until they died. Some of the dumb fucks even voted for the wealthy bastards who were killing them.

"Citizens United" was where things reached the boiling point.

SAD!!!
