Tax Tips for Lesbians

Hi G.D.! :)

(you came to my thread..i'll come to yours)

Did you find any good tips...? And no, I didn't build that website, my search engine picked it up when I was trying to located the cost of US military hardware. Go figure.

That was hysterical!

How about opression of exotic dancers? I recently read a magazine article that exotic dancers have no skills and so accept this "crummy" job. They aren't happy so they do drugs, and the fact that they do drugs makes them even unhappier so they do MORE drugs!

Hogwash!

I am a college grad and have a 163 IQ. Through nature and exercise, I am blessed with a very nice body. I tried secretary, waitress, etc., but they pay lousy and don't hold my interest. In this job I get to show off my bod all I want, to be creative and entertaining, to set my own hours, and to bring home an average of $750 a day in tips (some days it's $500 or less, sometimes even zero, but other times I bring home $1000 or more, so $750 is about average) for showing myself off 6 hours a day 4 days a week. Where else can you pull-down a 6-figure income for working 24 hours a week at a job you LOVE, that makes you feel beautiful and appreciated, and still spend lots of time with your child (my daughter Angela is 7)? And I get to bring home my fellow dancers and cute male AND female customers to play with any time I want. I'm not miserable, not on drugs, but those who don't know look at me like trash when I tell them I'm an exotic dancer (I am NOT a "stripper"; our club is very exclusive, we get only very well-to-do clientele, and my act is very beautiful, not cheap and trashy). My customers are always appreciative of the work I do, which was not the case as a waitress and certainly not as a secretary. So why the general disapproval from the public, and why can't I deduct for that disapproval?

Last week, the club did some publicity shots with me and 14 other girls. We got put up in a nice hotel, fabulous meals, got to splash naked in the surf, pose at posh hotels, had a great time. But setting up each shot took HOURS, so it did get boring, especially sitting around for my turn while they photoed another girl. So how about a boredom deduction?

But because we're looked down upon in general, shouldn't we get a tax break for THAT?

I am bi, so I guess I could qualify for HALF of those lesbian deductions!

Just kidding around, IRS!

Aloha from Patty
