Have you ever? Would you ever? More than once? More than one lover? What happened after the fall? Cover it up? Scrape it off? Scar it? Salt it?

And most importantly - where was it?

I have not. Probably never will. I have flirted with getting a tattoo for years - many Marines have tattoos - but have never done it.

I always wanted to do something very, very unique - like tattoo life-like, open eyes - on my eyelids - so when I go to sleep it looks like I'm awake.

Or - right at my hair line, after temporarily shaving my head - tattoo a skull - then let my hair grow back.

I also used to fantasize about monogramming my two front, capped teeth - with my initials - in gold.

And of course I always wanted to tattoo some sort of insect - a fly maybe - on the head of my dick.

But - no regular normal tattoos for Sparky.

I have always wanted to get a tattoo, but not anyone's name. I have a cool Celtic knotwork pendant that I want done. If I had a former lover's name tattooed on, what the heck do you do with it if you break up? An old boyfriend wanted to get my name tattooed on his chest & I talked him out of it. I wanted the scales of justice in a very small black & white right on the inside of my right pelvic bone but he wanted too much money per sq.inch and I backed out.

Now I'd like a sunshine w/the curvy rays at the small of my back or a little design around my belly button.

I have a vine of poison ivy around my right ankle, but that's it.. no names. My best friend has tweety bird on one ankle, roses of all different colors around the other ankle, pooh bear on her stomach, and a blue bird on her chest AND she's talking about getting another one! I told her, just let me dip her in ink and be done with it LOL

The vine sounds kinda sexy. I love jewlery and designs around my feet, but I'm a fantatic about keeping them looking pretty. Love the toe rings and ankle bracelets and such. Doesn't it take some of the ink away when you shave? That's what one of the tattoo artists told me.. ??

I would never have a lover's name, nick name, initials, etc., tattooed anywhere on my body. (Sawwy babe! ) It is bad luck and destines a break up. My ex best friend and I both have double hearts tattooed on our left hands... They're identical. Anyway, she and I are no longer friends. Though the tattoo still looks kinda cool, it's sometimes hard to explain why I have double hearts.

Tiggs - I was begining to wonder if anyone else knew about the jinx of getting your lover's name tattooed on your body. I have a few tattoos, and plan on eventually getting more, but the only names I'd ever get tattooed on my body (maybe) would be the names of my children (when I have some).

I have many tattoos myself and skitten has one some have sean in the pics of her...........I proudly wear her name as well as my kids...........I have pleaged my life to her so I wouldn't think twice about doing it.....I want to get a lager one some time soon.

I spent alot of my younger years growing up in at Tattoo shop for those that are concerned about it they can do some great cover ups today.......

If you worry about colors fading out wear sunblock over the tat many of mine still look like the day I got them........Well not the day but after they healed up............I work in the sun, and have had some fade before I started with the sunblock.......

Hey TN, if you ever go back and decide to get a tattoo, word of semi-warning, they should charge by the hour (around $75) shouldn't matter the square inches, or amounts of color or no-color used.

LOL, I should know, I have seven of the little addicting monsters... ok, maybe a couple of them aren't so little! hehe

It sounds like for what you wanted the guy (girl?) should have charged around $45... but gotta tell, that particular location hurts like a so and so. .... thinking to self, so does the back of the knee, top of the ankle, and.. well, never mind, I obviously haven't found a place that doesn't hurt yet. But I am still looking!!!!!!!!!!

I never considered a lovers name because of the jinx thing to the relationship. I am seriously considering getting a Carebear though. That is my nickname. I just cannot decide where to get the damn thing. I have it narrowed to shoulder, breast, or hip.
