Tattoo Tales!

I've got a pegasus and a black, bleeding rose. I got them to impress a girl I loved, which was stupid. I still like them but.

I couldn't go through it now. I've got squeemish in my old age.

I had my kitten done thirteen years ago, when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I still like it even though it's slightly blurred now. I remember that it hurt quite alot, but I would still have another one if I found an image I really liked.

Like this? Damn, I need a tan!
That's a damn fine peice of artwork, Des (oh, and the husband, who was walking past when I was looking at it, reckons you have good taste in guitars ;))

This one is on the outside of my right calf:

It's my nickname for my husband, the key to his heart, and my heart with a keyhole waiting for its key. The key is purple, green and blue because those are my, my husband's and my daughter's favorite colors blended together. It's amazing what you can find now with that color combination. (My husband has an identical tattoo, on the outside of his right calf, that says 'Smiley Girl' (His nickname for me).

This one is above/ on my right breast:

It was my very first tattoo and, other than a few spots, tickled. The worst part, for me, was the itch that came with healing. The heart on my calf hurt worse than this one did.

I'll PM the story, if you didn't read it on the other thread and you want to know. I removed the story. It's a little 'cutesy'.

This is my husband's:

An article in the paper today said some folks are getting tattoos with ultraviolet ink. You can hardly see it in normal light but it glows a brilliant bluish hue under a black light.

The first girl I slept with had one of these on her right breast. It was her first girlfriend's name. Misty.
The ultraviolet ink isn't legal in the states yet, she had it done illegally in Dallas.
It's pretty cool, except for seeing someone else's name when you are fucking someone.

But I do have several tattoos I've collected all over the world, all with meaning and mostly done due to life-changing events. I have two full sleeves, back ink and one huge celtic tat on my side in memoriom of my first child. Tattoos are deeply personal. You'll be wearing them for life (laser removal is such a cop out imho) so they should mean something and not a piece of flash because it's trendy.
I  U

I desperately wanted a Paul Reed Smith, but didn't have a picture handy. If I had it to do over again, I would have waited, but I like like strats as well. As Neo said, it's all about them having meaning. The two most important things in my life at that time were martial arts and music, so the tat was perfect. If I did another one, it would be my daughter, because she's redefined what important means to me.

Rach, when I read that you were putting up a pic of your kitten, it took me a second to click on the link (I had to get up off the floor first :catroar: ).

I wonder about it being a cop out. Even if you put a lot of thought into it, people change. It's possible to choose something non-trendy and full of meaning and still end up regretting it. Guess that's why I've always been too chicken to get one--I don't always want to remember who I used to be.

My one and only tat is on my AV ... 2 dark red cherries tied with a blue ribbon. I was not covering anything, just felt like getting it done. I took an entire year to decide what I wanted and where, because it is for life.

I've seen that one in ink mags along with a male's snake genital tattoos.
I have to wonder....the tat between the woman's legs there is one thing, though, er, it'd have to be kept dry and all while it was being done...but dicks have a tendency to change size quite radically and sometimes unexpectedly.

Taking both pain and time for such tats into account...How does a guy keep a penis at the right...size and trugidness while under the needle?

It's a team effort, usually, with a fluffer.

I think it's cute. "slightly blurry" tattoos can be touched up, defining their lines again.

Thank you. I would like to have it touched up. One day I will find the time!

What's a fluffer?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluffer
A fluffer is a hired member of the set of a pornographic movie whose role is to sexually arouse the male participants prior to the takes. Presumably, the name arose, at least in part, as a mocking reference to the hair-fluffing make-up artists who kept the starlets in non-pornographic movies looking their very best in every scene.
