Fleishmann's bread yeast, in the glass jar. A tablespoon, i think. 1/3 cup apple juice, i think 6 pounds of honey (yes, i wanted it SWEET), and water to make a gallon.Taraka said:It does seem as if I need some help in that area.
What type of yeast did you use? It's good and sweet, like I like it, but has a slight bite left. Not sure if that's not fermented enough or too fermented. It's not like I'm an expert or anything. Well... at least not at that.
And yes, with Liam, Wes, and others around we here locally have gotten spoiled. And that's a Good Thing.
Ibrahim and Arianna both tried it, and they agree that it's slightly underfermented. Since it was only a gallon batch it really wasn't worth starting the fermenting process over again. Ibrahim said to try using dark unsweetened tea instead of juice next time. It has more tannin, so will allow it to ferment more.
Yes it is! Unless i'm at the ship and they're playing with me. Which they do often. They know i'm there for the mead, and make me walk circles until i find whoever has the bottle. Of course, they keep passing the bottle around to make things difficult, but that's beside the point.
