The "sweet spot" is apparently the area where your undies/panties/tightie-whities meet your inner hamstring (inner superior posterior thigh).

I have heard that term used frequently to mean the crease between buttocks and thigh. In the fantasy world, I think it's supposed to be the most pain receptive area of the spankable bottom.

While most people assume that directly on the cheek is a good place, if one is delivering any heavy force, it's too close to the upper glutes and lower back muscles and nerves for comfort.

Whereas spanking on the upper thigh is just not quite the same.

So it's a good spot to aim for. Not near anything that'll cause major problems if it's damaged for a couple of days. I think that that's why it's "sweet"... it's ideal, just not for reasons one tends to think of while engaged in the act.

To answer the question no, never heard of it used as "sweet spot".
