^Yes, pretty much, it is.
And it's not a laughing matter.

I can see the State banning outright hardcore, Hustler, XXXhamster type gross/extreme/degrading pornography from school libraries. THAT makes sense. Most people (yes, even so-called "Marxist Socialist Liberals") wouldn't have an issue with that.

But that isn't what they are doing.

What they want to ban is, books that merely have GLBT characters, books dealing with GLBT health and psychological issues, and even (in some cases) books that merely have blacks as main characters. Or that express the idea that being GLBT (or a minority group) is NOT a bad thing. This is their idea of "pornography." This is what they want to ban. And it is not okay, not in a free society, and certainly not in a society that prides itself on liberty, freedom, and the idea of smaller/less government.

With 100% certainty. If a teacher users their private funds to buy classroom books, those books are now managed by anyone in any place in the world.

If you’re saying teachers in public schools cannot use books they purchased with their own money in public school classrooms, I’ll buy that. If you’re saying private schools that do not receive public money are prohibited from using non-vetted books, I don’t see anything in the text of the bill that indicates that.
