i figure if someone is going to talk behind my back about me, i must have done something to them.. everyone talks behind everyones back.. for one reason or another.. hell..i talk about my husband behind his back.. i'm sure he does the same thing.. sometimes we need to vent.. and the only way to do it.. is to talk behind their backs.

but doing it just out of spite.. is wrong..

if i find out someone has done it behind my back.. (whether it's warranted or not).. i ignore it.. that's just my way tho.. i don't worry about things like that..

I will admit I have talked behind peoples backs before. In one particular instance, I talked about an on going problem I had with an employee.....mistake #1 was telling what I thought to another employee.....rather than confronting the person it involved......I later lost my job over the situation!
A lesson learned the hard way!
Now, I "try" not to say anything about anyone behind their backs that I wouldn't say to their face!

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and actually respond to the question, even though KR1 is almost always just flame baiting.

I've talked behind people's backs. And in every single instance in which it was done mean spiritedly (as opposed to letting off steam without confronting someone over something relatively minor), I've regretted it later. So, I try not to do it. But, I'm not perfect.
