I spent the past week working on a paper that's turning out to be 15 pages long. Since it's taking me away from writing stories, I've been driven to get this paper done (little to no breaks). Now that I'm working my brain into overtime, I find that I'm starting to speak gibberish to people. No joke. I'll be speaking a normal sentence and then it'll go off into utter nonsense. I don't realize it until the person I'm talking to says "huh?"

I can't wait until I turn this damn paper in tomorrow. I want my linguistic skills back in working order.

You might just want to do a REALLY thorough reread of said paper before you turn it in.

Just because other people do it, doesn't mean you aren't crazy. But it really is very reassuring.
