my boss has always had his pooch in the office downstairs, so I asked if I could have mine in the lab upstairs and he said yes :)
day one was much pacing and whining, but after that she's just snoozed in a box all day. a walk before we go in, one at lunch if she seems restless, and she's content for 8 hours. totally unphased by the various noises and smells, and fine with my co-workers as long as they don't look at her directly.

this is a new one for me. she used to ride along and stay in the car when I did my rounds as a carer, but that's not quite the same thing.

there must be a few litsters doing the same thing, so here's yet another excuse to post cute pics of our pets.

Hi Dolf.

Is that your big gay poodle you speak of?

Gunny does not go to work with me.

lol

the poodle passed from old age a few years ago. big dogs don't live as long, sadly.

the new dog was from a rescue centre. when I got her, she was so scared and abused that she'd soil herself in terror if she was in the same room as a man, and would freeze and shake if anyone touched her.

she still wears her 'nervous' coat, and isn't keen on being looked at or touched by strangers, but she's made huge progress.

your pup looks a bit... toothy

It's actually my girls dog. One of them. I still have Meadow and the two little yorkies.

Aww, I didn't know about Poofty.

This dog looks like a cute little hound of some sort.

Whats his name?

she's mostly whippet, and her name is weasel.
she's only has three modes: either calm, terrified, or a total goofball. she smiles when she's excited, and flails her front legs in the air.

Well trained dogs in the office are great at keeping the stress level down.

I'm lucky enough to work from home, so poochy is always around.
Although I think he'd prefer to be out and about.

i'm guessing working from home would get pretty lonely without him.
I love that face! reminds me of my poor old poodle...

I'd like to take mine and put him at the receptionists desk so this is what they see through the window when they come in.

I love whippets. Mine was much like your but he also a I going to run as fast as I can and you can't catch me. I could see him thinking, "Oh you can't keep up? I'll taunt you by slowing down, let you catch up and then blow your ass away."

Mine smiled too when I scratched the itchy spots. Huge smile. Is that a whippet thing?

You got my reincarnated dog.

Must admit he would have not like going to work with me. He wouldn't have liked all the strangers and had no couch or bed (my bed) to lay on.

Does yours sleep on it's back with all four legs in the air? Run in it's sleep?

adorable! i'm loving those expressive ears.

i'm not the most cuddly, sentimental owner... but she was at the shelter almost a year. passed by, time after time, because of her issues. i'm what she got, and she seems content with it. she feels safe near me, standing behind me rather than running away, which is the main thing.

that pic was googled. I've never been able to snap her smiling. ;)

the great thing about the lab is that nobody else really goes in there. she has a box & blanket under a counter, and we're undisturbed for most of the day. being a small company, it's easy to control her interactions, so she can get to learn that people are mostly ok.

she doesn't lay on her back ever. too vulnerable, I suppose.

Awwwww you took Fata to work with you.

Mine has a drawer in my desk, got a little bed for him in there and the nice deep cubby makes him feel all secure and relaxed. 99% of the time he doesn't make a peep unless he needs out.
