Nicholas caught the short break in her consumption of her lunch at the news of her fitness program. He knew she was far from unhealthy, but he wanted her at her best. From his research, he knew that the right foods for her would do wonderful things to her figure, bulking her up in the right places by the right amounts, as well as trimming her down and firming her up in others.
Not only was it a weight issue, but one of flexibility and overall condition as well. Being stagnant was not good for a person, in many different ways apart from just physical. But it was all part of the greater plan of getting Tameka's life back on track. Once she settled into the routine, she would improve immensely. She was meeting her potential already, which made him happy. If she did well for the remainder of the day, then he would reward her well.
Nicholas wondered what exactly was going on within her mind, how far along the adjusting she had come. How much more she was fighting him and what he was doing for her. He picked up on her tension, guessing that she was not pleased with something he said. He would let it pass, as she was sure to talk to herself at some stage and reveal what was troubling her. It wouldn't be long before he could safely command her to tell him, and for her to do so without lying, or omitting anything. Nicholas was patient, he could wait until the circumstances were correct before he needed to act.
Still, through it all, he combed his fingers through her hair. It felt so soft on his skin. Even in the artificial lights, he could tell that it was not her natural colour. In his eyes, it didn't suit her at all. The colouring of her hair, and styling it in ways that changed what it was were all symptoms of her running away from her true self. She wouldn't accept who she really was, what she really needed and wanted. Nicholas was going to open her eyes, and show her what she was hiding from. Make her see what he saw in her, and would make her a better person for it.
He took the empty cup from her, delighted in the way she consumed it all without argument or delay. He readied himself to stand when she turned to face him, and ask a question.
“Master, could I umm have a book or something please?”
She looked down, not trusting herself to look her Master in the face as she asked. Nicholas smiled, and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek.
"Well done, Tameka," Nicholas said as he stood up, carrying the cup back to the bench. "I am pleased that you had your lunch, and didn't take too much time doing so. If you keep this up, I will be changing your diet to include some more tasty food for you."
He gathered a few items that needed to go back upstairs along with the cup, and proceeded to leave Tameka's room. When he was safely back in his own home proper, he almost laughed at the nerves Tameka had when she asked for something to stimulate her mind. He wondered if he should deny her request, for the audacity to make such a request of him before he felt that she had earned such a right. But, she was showing initiative in an acceptable manner, and if he did things properly, he would have her asking, and offering her payment, for whatever she wanted. He found the books he decided to give her, and took them back downstairs.
When he got there, he stood, looking at her to see how she took his 'ignoring' of her request. Again, he waited for a while, before he decided it was time for action.
"Tameka, I have some books for you. Yes, two books. All you need to do, Tameka, is kiss me. Once for each book. But both the kisses must be good enough for you to get the books. Even if one kiss is not good enough, you wont get them."
He smiled as he waited for her to make up her mind, and to come and claim her much desired books.
