I think that all of the LIT'ers need to take a moment from the normal fun and frivolity and express our prayers and thoughts to all of the people about to be affected by Hurricane Katrina. I know some LIT'ers who will be directly affected and possibly devastated by this storm...especially Gypziedoll. I pray that her family and her come through this OK...that everyone makes it OK and can rebuild. My thoughts are with all of you today, tomorrow and for the near future.

I'm with you sweetie... my prayers go out to all affected by this monster hurricane.

it is now a Cat 5, with sustained winds of at least 175 mph.
May God help and protect all in it's path

Just posted to this effect on "fuck".

Just looked on the BBC website and seen how bad it is likely to be. I shall be thinking of all the people affected tomorrow as I go about my normal daily routine.

 :rose:

To everyone that will be and has been affected by this storm, you are and will continue to be in my prayers. Do what is necessary to keep you and your loved ones safe.

I will be keeping all of you in my thoughts as I go thru the days to come.

The devastation is terrible. Massive floods. Loss of life... :rose:

Well got a message from gypzie today...so seems at least she still has her house and electric for now

This is heartbreaking. I hate to feel so helpless.

I copied this from Linuxgeek's thread on the 2005 Hurricane thread (it is an amazing thread).
