Taking 9 days to submit?

I posted a story about 9 days ago that has not been submitted. I believe my submission page read "awaiting approval". What gives? I posted the story as a cut and paste and as an attachment.

Right now the Halloween Contest is in progress (I think the last day for submission is the 22nd). There are a lot of contest entries, and they get priority due to the time constraint, so it takes longer than usual for regular submissions to be reviewed.

In other words, you'll just need to be patient and wait it out. The editors will get to it as soon as they can. Don't try to re-submit, or it'll go to the end of the queue - they'll let you know if there's a problem.

I feel your pain. It's a slow process further delayed by the on-going contest. Bt seeing as how I was the recipient of it during the last contest, I have no complaints.

When you did that, did you read the bit in the Submit page that says: "There are two ways to submit your story. You may paste the text into the box below or you may upload a .txt, .rtf, or Word .doc file by scrolling down the page to the next form field. Please use only one method - do not put text in the box and submit a file as both may be lost."
