I want to start doing Tai Chi again after a 7 year hiatus - in addition to loosing most all my body memory I no longer remember the differences between long form and short form.

In several weeks our Park & Rec department starts another cycle of evening classes - GF and I will take one. In addition to those I'd like to learn at home using a DVD and have no idea who has produced one worth the cost.

Can anyone recommend a title/master?

Thanks

ps - see I ain't dead

yet.

I'd like to get into tai chi. I think it might help me have more energy, deal with some of my ups and downs, and make me more tolerant of some things of which I really should be more tolerant. Maybe in a few months. Not now, though. I don't have the time, money, energy.

You might want to ask your instructor because everyone does Tai Chi differently. Your instructor may know someone with a DVD out who does Tai Chi in a form to how he or she does it.

I am hoping to get started before I meet him the end of Sept.

Thanks....

I hope the Tai Chi helps smooth out some of my hyperactivity.

When the time is right for you I wish you a good teacher.

Heh. My teacher will probably have to be in the form of pixels on a tv/computer screen. Livin' in the out back of nowhere has its advantages *and* disadvantages. By then, though, maybe you'll have found a good DVDed master and can recommend him/her to me. :D

Rebecca!!!

And Shanks, do post some pics of you in the classic Chinese gung fu outfit doing Tai Chi. It would be a most awesome photo.

Good shit. I did it for years but I couldn't get back into it unless I could find an afforable class.
