I used to be one of those people who thought that a tablet seemed pointless. Typing on a computer keyboard is way faster, a computer has a larger screen, and you can do more stuff on a computer than you can on a tablet.

But the day came when I wanted something to just browse the web and watch videos while I'm in bed, since I don't have a tv in my bedroom and using a laptop while in bed is super uncomfortable. So I went out and bought an iPad Mini.

After a few weeks with it, I am now converted. This shit is so comfy. Typing on a touch screen is slower, but worth it for all the benefits. Using a laptop on your lap gets hot, while a tablet never does. You can also just rest it on an arm rest when you're watching tv and want to come back to it once in a while. It is way better in bed, has amazing battery life compared to a laptop and can easily go in your purse/bag if you decide to take it out with you somewhere.

Since 90% of you guys here are either doctors, lawyers, or professors, it shouldn't be too difficult for you to afford one. I recommend the iPad Mini over the regular one.

I am not sure why you find a lap top super uncomfortable. What I find uncomfortable with a tablet is you have to hold onto it to see it. I can set the lap top on my chest or belly and watch it hands free.

I do enjoy my iPad. it is a little uncomfortable in bed and of course typing Is slower but worth the setbacks. Also enjoy surfing lit with my FWB holding the iPad more than with the laptop.

Tablets are great. I have a desktop and a net book, but my tablet gets used the most. The desktop is only really used for gaming now, which I dont play as much. Tablet is easy, always 'on' so is quicker to get started, no boot up time.

I am an android person, not a fan of anything apple.

i have since upgraded to an iPad Air 2 and it is amazing. I also prefer this size.
