A teenager claimed the 512 cannabis seeds found by police in his possession were birdseed to make his racing pigeons fly faster.
Judge Christopher Somerville rejected 19-year-old Craig Russell Brand's excuse when he appeared in court in Wellington, New Zealand, on a drug possession charge.

Brand was remanded on bail for sentence."
