Systematic Rape in Women's prisons in Iran

Recently I wrote a story called "My First Day in a Hellish Prison" based on my experiences from the Qarchak prison in Iran. In my story, I described the horrible crimes which are being committed in women prisons in Iran. The crimes I wrote about were so horrible that the story came out as a horror story when I was finished.


I had hoped that such terrible things were confined to ordinary prisoners. Sadly, recent confessions from Mojgan Keshavarz, a woman who was imprisoned because of opposing mandatory hijab, proved that I was wrong. She describes almost the same kind of torture and rape that I had experienced in prison.


All women are being systematically raped in prisons, and in most horrible and humiliating ways. And this atrocity is happening where the government claims to be Islamic and enforces mandatory hijab on women.

Aside from Mojgan keshavarz, several other women have said they have suffered from such violations in prisons. The guards made them fully undress and toke pictures of them, while they were not even allowed to cover themselves with hands. Some where even forced to do other humiliating things in front of a camera.

After the news of sexual abuse in prisons went viral, the famous Iranian actress, Mahnaz Afshar, said that she has faced such an abuse as well. Years ago, when she had just became famous, an unknown girl who was somewhat like her, was making short naked clips of herself. Some people published the naked clips and falsely claimed that it's from Mahnaz Afshar.

She was summoned to the police. There she denied it and showed them the scar on her arm which the girl in those clips didn't have. That was clearly enough to prove the clips are not from her, but they said they must see her body and compare it to the clip. So they forced her to fully undress and took pictures of her like that.

Mahnaz Afshar said she felt violated and humiliated, and has kept that experience in the back of her mind, which still haunts her.

My father worked in Iran before the revolution. I visited a year before the Ayotolahs took control and, even then, Iranian women who were dressed in Western clothing (and not overtly displaying loads of cleavage or their legs) had curdled milk thrown on them and were called "whores". It is also true that, while I was there, a woman was raped pretty much every couple of days (sometimes every day!!) to the point where both the oil company who owned the team house in which my Father lived and the British government put armed guards into the area where the expats lived to protect the women. There were about 25 women, some of whom worked for the oil company, and they were routinely groped or spat at by Iranian men employed by the oil company.
My father wrlorked with the Iranian military, teaching them how to maintain the armoured vehicles our government was selling to the Shah at that time.
Even he admitted that Iranian men treated their women appallingly badly... and, when my Mother visited him, she had an armed Iranian female guard with her at all times. I met the woman concerned and she always wore "shadour"... the full head to toe garb with a "letterbox" cut-out for her eyes... and carried two loaded .45 semi automatic pistols underneath it, safety off and with a round in the chamber...
I have no doubt whatsoever that the stayed atrocities are routinely carried out by Iranian prison guards...
On her time off, I also swam in the pool with the guard... wearing a bikini (sometimes topless) and looking soooo good LOL

This entire post is utter bullshit. Nobody is okay with rape, hate to point out American Christians are starting to push pedophilia so there is that and we're oddly silent on that issue.

We know there is rape in Iran, just like we know there was/is rape in our immigrant camps and we are once again oddly silent about it. The Christian Right pretends to care but they are more interested in bigotry.

We know there is rape in US prisons and nobody cares. Though one side makes it their purpose to make sure the prisons are packed. Though there are also economic reasons, race reasons and just plain stupidity.

However to answer your stupid question here is the spin. Islam has very little political power in the US. They don't support abortion or LGBT rights. But they didn't have a thing to do with the fight against equal rights for marriage. They didn't overturn Roe v Wade. They aren't attacking Disney. They are pretending the Left are grooming children, not that they care about grooming children but still.

I worry primarily about things that happen to me. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Muslims in China but we know well that works and we're not going to war or even sanctioning China over THAT at least not right now. We can't afford to.
