Except the marketing director ADMITTED that they (the company AND Ms. Sweeney) KNEW the ad would be controversial and push buttons - because they KNEW there WAS nazi / white supremacist language & imagery in the ad:

From the article:
“In the run-up to the ad blitz, the company's chief marketing officer told trade media outlets that it included “clever, even provocative language” and was “definitely going to push buttons."

Is it racist to exploit nazi / white supremacist language & imagery in an ad ??? Even if it’s "just" a wink and a nod??? Even if it’s "just" to exploit the culture wars???

ALL marketing is supposed to push buttons. They do it intentionally so that people will remember the ad and company.
That people like you equate marketing strategies to something more than that, is why you're such an idiot. You make it so that every banana ad is pornographic, women's clothing is designed to reduce women to sexual playthings, and normal social activities are racist unless there's a certain ratio of skin color/gender involved. Even beauty is intentional infliction of emotional distress under that kind of insanity.
Your real problem isn't that marketing pushes your buttons, but that you have REALLY BIG buttons to push. So big they almost push themselves by force of gravity. Which, by the way, is sexist because it has deleterious effects on certain portions of the female anatomy.
Derpy is cool with AE & Ms. Sweeney PURPOSELY putting out an ad that they KNEW was predicated on nazi / white supremacist language & imagery.
<quelle surprise>

You have no idea the cartoon images that that statement conjures up. LMAOI wonder if everyone boycotting these jeans realizes they don't come in their size...
Nah. You're on your own here. I think the buttons they expected to push were those not gifted with the good looking genes. Not fucking Nazis.Except the marketing director ADMITTED that they (the company AND Ms. Sweeney) KNEW the ad would be controversial and push buttons - because they KNEW there WAS nazi / white supremacist language & imagery in the ad:

I like those Old Spice ads with the black dude with the cut physique. I wish my body fat was that low. But I still buy Old Spice and don't spam the comment-sphere with how Old Spice is pushing an unhealthy body-ideal obsession.
There are no decent, intelligent people left on the left. Only undesirable, angry females and their neutered males.
It was meant to push those RACIST Pavlov buttons that trigger MAGAts to drool & spend their money.
The negative response to the ads from decent, intelligent people who understand history and the race baiting tactics being employed by AE is just decent, intelligent people being decent & intelligent.
We. Told. Them. So.

This statement is obviously objective. There are no decent, intelligent people left on the left. Only undesirable, angry females and their neutered males.
That is the trend these days. There are no decent, intelligent people left on the left. Only undesirable, angry females and their neutered males.
He didn't say it was a trendThat is the trend these days.

The cosmetic industry largely focuses on enhancing women’s appearance, often with the underlying goal of increasing their attractiveness, particularly to men. While some feminists criticize this perspective as reductive or reinforcing outdated gender norms, it reflects a longstanding cultural emphasis on female beauty. Unlike men, who go through life with the face they were born with, women know they have to look better to attract men capable of supporting and defending them. This fact creates the economic demands cosmetic and clothing industries strive to satisfy, and why women are frequently targeted by advertising campaigns that use the female body to capture attention and sell products.I'm also cool with ads for hamburgers that have more sex appeal in them than burger buns, perfume ads with young white men all over the screen and almost nothing about the product, the idea that I can "squish the rainbow" and not imply that I'm anti-LBGT, and more.
Why? Because I'm not a walking/talking clusterfuck like you and the rest of the progressive scolds who really need to get a life.
I didn't use the word fact. I was describing an emerging reality so large that the number of normal beautiful people who still might be in attendance there shrinks into insignificance. He didn't say it was a trend
He said this was a fact.
Of course you didn'tI didn't use the word fact. I was describing an emerging reality so large that the number of normal beautiful people who still might be in attendance there shrinks into insignificance.![]()
I should have continued on to mention those ads featuring women with hair piled up like nautical rope, huge jowls, asses a full axe handle wide, and faces that look like a tackle box, fail dramatically as those attributes are presently crashing the Consumer Behavior and Sentiment Analyses that indicate consumer interest and satisfaction levels, hence the massive shift away from woke ideology and practice.
You can continue on your explanations of the world. It's obviously well grounded in reality.I should have continued on to mention those ads featuring women with hair piled up like nautical rope, huge jowls, asses a full axe handle wide, and faces that look like a tackle box, fail dramatically as those attributes are presently crashing the Consumer Behavior and Sentiment Analyses that indicate consumer interest and satisfaction levels, hence the massive shift away from woke ideology and practice.
No, I sleep at night because of the absurdity those Democrats represent, and knowing the American people are finally awake.Of course you didn't
"There are no...."
Obviously this is objective reality to you.
I expect you can't sleep at night because of those Democrats

Lol ...you are entertainingObviously.
You actually decided this was a good replyNo, I sleep at night because of the absurdity those Democrats represent, and knowing the American people are finally awake.
All Americans are sleeping better knowing that, according to CNN, we now have the "most influential president this century" and most probably in the last half of the last century as well. You actually decided this was a good reply
Lol
Guy who repeatedly says that CNN lies is telling me how CNN said something...lolAll Americans are sleeping better knowing that, according to CNN, we now have the "most influential president this century" and most probably in the last half of the last century as well.
