I like your description it is particularly accurate, it is wonderful though rare. To find someone who personally understands abject submission while also understanding absolute dominationand revels in both is sublime.

speaking at a sublime level submission and dominance are two sides of the same coin , one can not be a sub without understanding the needs of a dom , forced or coerced submissiveness is not enjoyable after a certain stage to the dom , similarly dominant nature can be tolerated to a certain level specially when it is accompanied with a deep understanding of the nature and needs of the sub and can not be driven by the desires of the dom alone. A true switch in my dictionary can only be one who has such an understanding

lately I find I crave the variety of sensation and depravity that I have only to date found with switches of similar ilk, or an occasional couple.

I do not think we can set arbitrary rules on what constitutes a real switch. We are all of us different I for one am very glad that we are. Variety is the spice of life and I do like a healthy handful of spice.

I've always looked at it this way... everybody is set up differently in the things that they want and need. No problem with that... switches just seem a bit more open to expanding the experience. As for myself, I've found that I enjoy the physical parts much more than the headspace. I don't know if that's a result of being switchy, or just a result of being myself.

I too enjoy the physical to extreme but sometimes that can be dramatically enhanced by pushing the right mental buttons.

Well it can definitely be an artform. Pretty much anyone can get the old in-n-out going. It takes a little bit more skill to be able to read what is going on with the other person and play off of the signals...
