It's funny, when it comes to my own pics my eye is more drawn to the ones of color, but with other's I prefer their black & whites. Why is that I wonder?

I love these 2 b&w's I've posted here, but I still love the color versions. Let me show you the originals...

Easy answer.

Most pro photographers who shoot nudes will tell you that they use B&W for that exact reason, the lack of color simplifies the image and helps the eye focus on the shapes and lines rather than the composition of color.

Because you are a vibrant person and the color versions probably show more of your personality, where as the B&W versions accentuate your form. The color also offers another layer of depth and complexity which makes them again, more about personality and emotion than pure form.

You may like to think you're just a Sexy Little Fucker, but you're more of an artist than you think.

Ah, so perhaps since I am not the typical model. I don't want to accentuate my form, but rather draw attention away from my imperfections. <----- This is totally my opinion and probably not the general consensus of this thread

I've always been a very colorful person. I like bold, bright, vibrant colors surrounding me. I think that's what makes my photos unique here. Occasionally I will pop out a very nice black & white like the last one I just posted. I like that one better than the color version for a change. Perhaps I should start thinking about doing photos in black and white from the beginning of the process. I wonder if that would make a difference in the end product?
