interesting angle on 'heat' the effects are great.. the reflection of the flame on your skin. My ONLY critique, and it's easy being the armchair artist... is the flames don't look real enough. I love the concept tho


OH and PS FLAMES are tough..

Funny you should say that spaz. I am laughing at your comment because they are real. We made a huge fire on our vacation and I took a least 100 pictures of it

That is funny because look at these flames and then these flames can you see the difference.. you did something to make the first ones too sketchy

It has potential but at least with this first example, I don't find it as engaging nor as fully realized as the nymph series. I'm trying to see it with fresh eyes, as though I weren't already certifiably in lust with you, and in that respect, it's too much flash and not enough flesh. I'd like to see more of your personality or else, to recognize more of how the visual effects complement the human figure.

You know we could much more easily discuss aesthetics while splitting a pleasant bottle of wine, and enjoying some savories at your exhibition opening.

Uh huh......they are sketchy aren't they? Must have been the filters I used on the overall piece. I didn't like the way they looked when left alone especially when I was trying to get the colors of my skin to match the flames. I have the layers all saved of the originals. Perhaps I can rework it...perhaps not. I might just toss it and start on something else.

Besides I was trying to make it look like a sketch lol

Yes, the nymph series was much better. I think I am trying to rush this pic too much. I haven't had as much time to play lately and in my haste I might not have done as well as I could have. More personality you say? I think I have just the pic!

Very good -- I like the cloud effect over the whole image to give a smoke and heat feel as if you were looking through air that was super heated. Very good --

I would suggest that maybe it was the proportions -- the flames are diminutive compared to you -- they should envelop you -- maybe that is what spaz is getting at.

But thats art , they dont have to match esthetically perfect , the pic itself is suposed to be surreal I think . There is however , a big difference in the flame pics , color was what stands out for me as the main difference . Its tough for me to see Em in something other than the soft whimsical , misty feeling , she generally creates . I like the contrast . Whats so cool about art is for reasons like this exactly , everyone is entitled to see whatever we wanna see in any given pic . I'm guessing the flames stood out in your eye where her crimped almost singed looking hair was what caught mine .

Hey speaking of flames , have you ever seen that duude that does airbrushed flames for Jesse James and some of the hot rod people ? He's unreal how realistic they look . I'll try to google some things and see if I can find some of his work , its amazing too .
