Sweet Things & Deviant Thoughts

Day 5 🇬🇧 (the England throwback diaries)

Spent the morning wandering around Kensington and Notting Hill, visiting the famous bookshop and exploring all the cute little streets and shops. Also ended up finding a spot where they filmed one or two scenes from Love Actually — one of my FAVOURITE movies ever!! Living my rom-com dreams.

Then stumbled upon the cutest little tea shop on a boat in Little Venice and fell in LOVE. It’s also where I learned about Elderflower drinks. I am still obsessed.
Naturally, I then got lost wandering along the waterway lol

Spent the rest of the afternoon traipsing around Regent’s Park, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Sunny, peaceful, and one of those moments where you just feel so grateful to be exactly where you are.

Finished the day with dinner at a cute little Peruvian place in Marylebone, then walked all the way back through the city to my hotel near the London Museum. A very long walk, but honestly, I loved taking everything in along the way!
I loved wondering around London.

Day 6 🇬🇧 (the England throwback diaries)

Took a little day trip to Cambridge to visit my friend who was working on her PhD there, and I fell in LOVE with the whole place. It rained for half the day, but the soft rain + gothic buildings + dreamy campus? Literally felt like I was in a movie. I have endless photos, finding it hard to choose! She got me into places most people aren’t allowed to see 🤭 which was amazing.

We stopped at her fave pub for lunch and had the BEST sticky toffee pudding ever. I am not exaggerating it was perfect.

Headed back to London in the late afternoon, did some more wandering (because apparently I can never walk enough lol), and finished the day with some cheeky Nando’s for dinner. A very dreamy little day.

Oh, I *loved* Cambridge, too, & went there to visit a friend doing her PhD! Such a fun weekend… Great pics!
