Sweep glitch?

I could be wrong on this, but something that had an effect on the frequency of the sweeps was back when Scouries would post his fake contest threads and as part of them he'd grab scores off the category lists and post the leading stories making them easier targets for the Trolls.

That probably had some bearing, although it had already shifted toward mostly end of voting period sweeps by the time he started doing that regularly.

I admit it's quite disheartening to have scores go down because votes have been removed. Of course, if I didn't really earn the fives, I don't have anything to complain about.

I don't think she'll reply to you. Now you just need to wait for the sweep. She'll get to it.

As near as I can tell, not all 1* votes are illegitimate, just like not all 5* votes are legitimate. Even when the seep comes around, it may not do all you want.

It does appear that the one-bombers are out in force at the moment. My stories usually get a vote or two every other month. Recently, one story got more than 60 votes in a matter of hours. And the score dropped from 4.71 to 4.47.

Stands to reason, Sam. All the drive-through second windows being closed for the plague, the one-bombers are off work and bored.

I looked at this particular story for the first time in a couple of days and couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it had jumped from 4.08 to 4.70. Still one 1-bomb without which it would have been 4.79 but I shouldn’t complain because now the votes are more a true reflection of how the story has been enjoyed. Four 5 votes for every 4 vote. I must learn to be more patient.

Some of the morons will bomb indiscriminately but I’m sure some of them must follow writers so they can bomb a story as soon as they get notified. Every one of my stories attracts a bomb in the first five votes. But how do I know which one of my followers is that one if indeed that’s what it is? It’s a pain in the arse. But as long as sweeps are religiously carried out justice will be done. In the end.
