Single white editor seeks story for line-editing and more. My turn-ons include good grammar, showing (not telling), and writers who are open to criticism. My turn-offs include excessive passive voice, bad plotlines, and any story containing the words "heaving busom."
<p> On a more serious note, I am a 19-year-old freelance writer and future English teacher. I will gladly line-edit (check the story for grammar, spelling, consistancy, etc) most stories, but find myself discomforted by rape/nonconsent, as well as stories in which a man with an 18-inch penis and the ability to come 62 times a day is the central character. Send your stories to Kanchelsis17@yahoo.com with the word "Literotica" somewhere in the subject line.

Well, that's highly insulting to any man who has an 18-inch penis and the ability to come 62 times a day. ;)

I might be more convinced if you could spell bosom and consistency.

You're right, I misspelled both words. Maybe I should eat my words and use a spellchecker before posting...

i wouldnt sweat it too much. Most people should understand simple spelling errors in a forum are not a big deal, just as perfect diction is rarely needed in casual conversation. Sometimes it is important but usualy not.

But if you walk into a room and offer elocution lessons, you'd make sure you speak clearly. I would have thought offering your services as an editor is precisely one of those times when spelling is important. (Personally I think it's always important; but then I would, wouldn't I?!)

I think proper diction when speaking and proper use of grammar, style, and spelling when writing are very important, but then I would too--wouldn't I?

;)

Of course you would! :rose:

(One day I'll learn to talk in verse ... or at least rhyming couplets! ;) )

Perhaps only double entendres-- would you join me? You cannot say no!

Did you hear the one about the man who walked into a bar and asked for a double entendre, so the barman gave him one.

well i understand... i cant spell worth a damn... but i am not a bad editor, just not for spelling. I know a lot of people think that it shows carelessness or sloppyness, but some of us just can not spell. If we have the time to spell check thats great, but sometimes we dont. And it certainly doesnt mean that our brains are any less able to see other problems.

I appologize for speaking for more people than myself, and i do realize the irony of the problem.
