Back from the desert and mining areas. Up until today it has been as hot on the coast as it was inland. Offshore winds so no sea breeze and no waves. I drove back on Friday and it was drop the gear off and then straight down to the beach for some salt water.
Quite a busy friday as that night was a cocktail party out on a roof top deck, 33 floors up at the east end of the city centre. For the cricket fans, it was just about next door to the WACA. Gorgeous sunset views looking down the terrace. The larger buildings are double the size of this one, but 2km away, to give perspective.
Saturday night was a bbq party at home. We had switched off the heater in the hot tub so it was ambient temperature. Outside was 38C. A bit of swimming in the pool and then the remainers retired to the hottub (coldtub?).
You always get caught out when the bubbles stop and you already have your boobs up above the water because they are too hot. Someone has to lean over and hit the button again.
Playing this morning with some fancy footwork to keep things covered. I had an idea for the other thread but might need to perfect a couple of burlesque moves of just keeping the fanny out of full view. Just for fun. The temptation and tease is better than seeing everything isn't it?

Indeed it is, and has sunsets every day. The hot tub is out of sunset range though. Not always a fan of leaving the light on in the tub, but that was how it went that night.

We once had a hot tub. Loved it in the winter, especially during snow. It was a lot of fun to sit in the hot tub, enjoy a glass of wine, and watch the snow fall.

We have another 2-3 months of beach able weather. The pool has a jacuzzi area, not heated, but this tub gets used more in winter.

Not a big city population-wise, 2 million, but by area a very large one. Sitting on the edge of the world. I am enjoying looking at a couple of declassified US KeyHole satellite photos of it from the 60's and 70's. Obviously Langley decided that if friends were going to hide anything you would hide it over on the edge. 1sq m per pixel so you see people on the beach, the nudie beach being as well populated back then as it is today. My grandmother talked of skinny dipping there in the late 30's and 40's (the odd boobs out pic too in her box of photos when we arranged all her things) so genetically it looks like I am predisposed. The weather has resumed its hot days again. That's good as it was a bit too cool for this time of the year for my liking.
We zoomed off south for a day of kayaking around Black Diamond Lake. The last time I was in this particular area was when this was a working coal mine. In the mean time it has been rehabilitated and flooded to make a lake. It pretty deep so just under the surface it starts getting cold.
The two or so weeks of cool weather confused the fruit trees which thought autumn was about here. Down at the farm the persimmon trees ripened up rapidly and the chestnuts have started opening.
Now I was supposed to be heading over to north of Brisbane this week but with their 10 covid cases and state locked down, my lazy arse is laying around over here. I will have to go and get creative.

No not there. Diamonds are found here, but up in the north. Coal is too late in development for there to be diamonds, unless the diamonds were formed earlier and then prehistoric vegetation formed over the top. Australia, India, Antarctica, and Africa used to be joined up, so its interesting seeing the mineral similarities where the coast lines used to match up. Most of the north used to be seafloor, which is obvious when you fly over it.
