Summer days, it's nice being out and about in the dry heat here. There is always time to head off for a swim during the working day, before, during or afterwards.

It's not hard to look out the office window and work out when to head off. While the low res photo is hard to see, there is a glimpse of the ocean just in the distance. Into the car, straight down the terrace and head west for 8km and there you go. I'm not kidding when i say we don't have mountains or much in the way of hills here.

My home wardrobe has moved to little cotton dresses to finish the day in. Nice and airy.

The funny thing with laser is that every few years a few hairs suddenly pop up and grow. Just all of a sudden. You shave off the odd one but then there are few more that pop up until you look at your walking across the beach bikini and they are out on the side. Laser booked in for tomorrow morning to zap them all. I really can't be bothered maintaining anything over the 9 months of beach weather here.

I have been practicing a few dishes for Christmas this year. It's hot here, so you want a whole heap of things hot, cold and in between. I had a nice lot of prawns on hand so did them up as a pesto linguine with the prawns on top. i think it will go nicely as just another dish to take a serve from and fill plates up on the second and third helpings. Or, hold it back to come out in the evening when everyone is ready to eat all over again.

Indeed we do, although the east stole our weather. they are having 40C in Sydney and we are a cloudy 19C so no inclination to go to the beach until wednesday when it goes back over 30 again.
Christmas events have already started so a bit here there and everywhere at the moment.

Yeah the Brits swim all year round over here once they work it out. Aussies rugged up against the Arctic at 16 deg, and they are bikinis and laying in the sun.

It's a crazy two week period of the year for board meetings etc and with it all online and not being negotiated in restaurants etc one on one beforehand to see who will vote for what, the vid cons are endless.

Undoubtedly. Genetically we are precoded to carrying some so it is an inevetible progression in life, unless you haven't changed with metabolism changes.

It has been 35-39C all week here. Lots of swims and the afternoon sea breeze ('The Fremantle Doctor' if there are any local residents or cricket fans) didn't come in until late. So we were all swimming until sunset and eating on the beach. I had the waterproof rated phone out in the ocean with me facetiming with some friends in the snow and then taking some silly pics. This one happened to turn out really well, just about leaping off my chest.

Mornings have been great with an easterly breeze and no waves. It leaves a lovely contrast with the sand water and sky. Not bad for 5km from the CBD as the crow flies, plenty of space for everyone.

Old mate was fiddling around under the table last night trying to quietly send a message off without looking like the idiot who texts in company at the table. I obliged him with a little distraction and he understood the wink. He did manage to blind aim a couple.

Out a bar afterwards which had an interesting rule. It certainly got the mood going and the booze flowing.
