Now it becomes obvious who Svenskflicka really is:

1) Svenskflicka is worried about 'her' job, so is he.

2) Svenskflicka is often called Sven, so is he.

3) Svenskflicka doesn't like 'her' name being shortened to Sven, nor does he.

4) Svenskflicka doesn't know much about football, nor does he.

5) Svenskflicka worries about 'her' SO often in public, so does he.

6) Svenskflicka is interested in balls, so is he.

QED. Svenskaflica must be the Literotica nom de plume of this man

Dead link.

Can't wait to see her rip your eyes out and show them to you. Or maybe she'll tear your balls off and use 'em fora key fob.

And why the hell does everyone around here think everyone else is someone else trying to cause trouble?

I think it has more to do with our own hidden agendas that we have trouble dealing with ourselves. The tendancy to assume intrigue on behalf of others often says more about ourselves. We may assume suspicious and alterior motives of other people while not entirely owning up to our own dark motives.

Oft times we are distrusting of others, thinking that they might intend us harm. Or perhaps we take great offense at what is said to us, believing it to be an attack upon our character. Usually these suspicious tell us more about ourselves.

Do we see dishonesty in others as a mirror to our own concerns of inadequacy in truth? Do we imagine deciet and cunning in our business, political, or even social challengers while not admitting to what we ourselves are capable of doing. Are we looking for the opportunity to take that cheap shot at someone's character, but only after we can present it in the guise of retribution rather than initial offense, even to the extent that we have to fabricate the offense against ourselves in our own minds?

Intrigue abounds, but often only behind our own eyes.

Well said, Vincent.

I have a 'him' and a 'her' I worry about, or at least am concerned with. That's doubtless the case with all us non-sports fans.

Your reply was so round and thorough, it'll be a shame if Snooper's was a joke post after all.

Chill, Vincenzo ;) . I went as if to quote the post and the url is a UK sports site but I couldn't make out what it was supposed to show of Svenska. I believe it was a dud joke. P.

It is a joke, and I got it straight away. Probably got a lot to do with the fact that I'm a Brit. ;)

SVEN Goran Erickson is the England football team's manager. He's also well known for "playing away from home". His job is on the cards right now, because he had an affair with his secretary. The chairman of the FA also had an affair with the same woman. They tried to hush that up, but couldn't. He resigned earlier this week.

Snooper's post was nothing more than a play on names, and the similarities he pointed out (although for different reasons) made me laugh.

Lou :p :D

So, Loulou, are you saying Sven actually means bloke? Is that a northern or southern expression? Can I say, "Fuck me! you Sven"? P.

No, not in my language it doesn't. His actual name is Sven Goran Erikson. He's a Swedish bloke (as you might've guessed), I suppose his parents just wanted to affirm his gender with his name.

Then again, I guess it's worth a try. I'll say that to the next bloke I see and let you know what happens. :D

Ok, I'll do it too. We can turn our results in tomw., or maybe next week - I think lots of tries will produce better stats. I'm going to start at lunchtime. P.

Ok, let's synchronize watches. Your lunchtime will be my late evening. Yeah, I can go with that. I'll prowl the streets for drunks. Could be an interesting night...

Lou ;)

i disagree. I think it's just a little lighthearted fun. The thrill of mystery, the self satisfaction of figuring something out (no matter how wrong you actually are) and the exiting idea that you might unknowingly be talking with someone rich or famous or even your own personal hero for all that. When given the anonymity of most every one here, our curious and imaginative minds are left to fill in the blacks. We can do so w/ paranoya, or with a simple sense of fun and exitement. I choose to think it's all in fun.

:)

Like a Brit naming thir son Guy?

It's an incredibly uncommon name here. I've never heard of or known any British blokes called "Guy". I've heard of a few Aussies and many Yanks called that, though. Also, we don't have "junior" here. We are more imaginative than some. :p

Lou ;)

Must...control...face...

ROFL

OK, I give up! That WAS a good joke!

And yes, it proves what I've been trying to tell people all along: Sven is an old Swedish word for "young man".

Out of interest, svendom is an old-fashioned word for "male virginity".

It was v. funny and being a Brit I got it without the picture too.

What I don't understand is how Snooper is going to be shown his own eyeballs? Mind waves? Telepathy? Described in blind sign?

Be Ok if she doesn't rip the eyes right out and destroy the connecting cords straight off, just sort of turns them round carefully like:D

Good one Snooper, just hope darling Svenska doesn't get her hands on your balls... umm eyeballs or otherwise.:D

Oh and by the way whoever said it, my niece's husband is called Guy, what the hell's wrong with that for a name, we don't all speak the bastardised version of English.

I heard this story on BBC world news. I'm still somewhat perplexed as to why a soccer team manager would be fired for having an affair.

I don't know what Sven means (though if I had to guess, I'd say Swed) Svenska apparently means Swedish and Flicka apparently means girl.

He (Sven) is single. She is single. She also had an affair with one of the bosses of the Football Association (who is also single).

Sven has/had a long term girlfriend. He has cheated on his gf before.

One of the other bosses at the FA told a scandal newspaper about Sven's affair IF they would keep quiet about the woman's affair with the boss. The scandal paper didn't.

If Sven was to be fired, it would have been for lying about the affair, not for the affair itself. He didn't lie, because no one asked him about it - perhaps because it was no secret.

The boss involved has resigned. The woman has resigned and sold her story to the media (to be released Sunday) for half a million pounds which is not a bad reward for an underpaid secretary. She seems to have survived the furore very well. Not only was she a model so there are many pictures of her in designer clothes, but she has had sequential affairs with important men and she seems to have been in control of events. She has brains, tact and beauty (and now fame and fortune).

Og

Edited for PS: The England fans reaction appears to be 'So what?' or 'I'd like to f**k her too.'

It's probably because it was with a female... they thought it best he get behind the team and maybe stiffen up the back row a bit.:D

Yay my story's listed (shameless advert)

Been there, voted and left a PC.

You didn't tell Jeanne and I that you had wired the house for CCTV. I suspect that you had something to do with the spell that got us into difficulty.

However, now everything appears to be back to normal, we forgive you - this time. Don't do it again unless you participate.

Ogg,
Wasn't Sven asked by the FA if the affair between him and Faria was true, and that he denied it, and that's how come they went out publically denying it? Admit I haven't read all the details, but thought that's what it was all about. Nobody cares about him shagging another girl (apart from his fiance), but the issue is that the FA's solicitors got into the whole thing and that made it an official matter. If they had just kept quiet it would only have been his personal business really.

Oh well. Let's just say I don't find Ulrika Jonsson and Sven Göran Eriksson the best representatives of Swedes. lol They just add to the stereotypes. Especially Ulrika, I prefer Sven to her. :)

I think the latest is that someone in the FA denied it BEFORE asking Sven. They have cleared him (yesterday) of any wrongdoing.

If he wasn't England's Soccer coach who would care?
