Svenskaflicka has temporarily lost her net connection. She can get email at her library but she can't get to Literotica because it is a barred site.

She's worried about the survivor contest because she can't post her stories.

Any PMs cannot be answered.

How do I know? Because I spell-checked her stories for her and sent them to her email address.

Is there a worse fate than being deprived of Literotica?

She would have a really hard time catching up to MV anyhow because she is almost 60 points behind, the last time I checked, which was about three hours ago. She still has a shot at second place but only about 36 hours left of the year.

There are two simple options here. She can give you her password and trust you for the next day or so until she can get on to post her stories for her or she can go knocking door to door with her pc in hand and begging for an internet connection lol. The other option is there is an email address to submit stories to lit. She could just email them to the site and that would still count I am thinking. But I think she would have to show proof of submission date so tell her save her sent emails and not delete them as well as going ahead and sending a couple of us titles for verification so that she isn't accused of cheating by anyone worried about getting second place. LOL, ok she could beat me but she'd have to have a hell of a lot of stories stored up and prepared to post.

Just some suggestions from MV.

1) Attach the text of the story to an email directed to submit@literotica.com. Important: make the subject of the email the same as the title of the story so that we can more easily match your submission to your profile.

I used to email my stories like you describe and it took sometimes as long as two weeks to get them posted. They might be able to expedite these, under the circumstances, but it is still cutting it awfully close.

I understand boxlicker that's why I never email my stories in but I don't want Svenskaflicka losing due to a technical difficulty. Although one would point out that had she not waited till the last minute to submit stories this might not have happened. It's all in the strategy I suppose.

Snickers, just like mine was to have her internet cut off a two days before the end of the contest. Ok just joking I wouldn't do that to win. :D

I'm actually worried about Chicklet submitting nine million stories at the last minute she has been silent for far too long.

I just looked over Flicka's scoring thread. She has three unfilled categories which means she would need three stories in those, which would be nine points, plus 20 bonus points. Then she would need 31 more stories to tie MV, assuming that he doesn't post anything else.

Well I shouldn't put this out there yet, but I should finish up well over two hundred, just depending on how many more I decide to submit today and tomorrow. I have already crested two hundred with submissions that haven't posted so we'll see. PenanceS is due in with a flood of stories as well. SO it will come down to it looks like the four of us unless someone has been sneaky all year and posts everything they have written at the last minute.

Chicklet would need even more than Flicka. She has last posted on Nov. 13, and she might have 60 or so stories ready to post at the last minute, but that is what it would take, maybe more. Right now, I am in fourth place and Chicklet is in fifth, and I have one story submited, which hasn't posted yet. She could pass me up,which is not that big of a deal to me. PenanceS is in Second, FYI.

Oh, sorry boxlicker, I hadn't kept track of who was behind Svenskaflicka yet, only knowing that Chicklet won last year I have tried to keep an eye on her, and then Svenskaflicka and PenanceS. Well congrats, so do you have some more to sneak in Boxie? :D Come on you can tell me, lol.

Really it's just fun but, I am trying to win this hard, I think I will, but I'm not going to get cocky yet, just going to keep finishing the tail end of stories I have worked on in the past few months as well as submitting one or two every few hours until I have nothing left. At this point I am willing too spend the next day and a half writing with a few short naps and breaks to secure a victory.

I haven't decided if that is dedication or pathetic, I will let you know when the winner is determined lol.

I have sent the advice on emailing the stories to Svenskaflicka. Whether she will read it in time is another matter. I don't know library opening hours in Sweden.

I have nothing completed right now. I have one story submitted, so I will end up with 107 points, unless I win an imunity tomorrow or write a oem, which would take relatively little time. I probably won't do either.

I know libraries block access to Lit. but can't she email them and include her stories as attachments? Don't they have public computers that can be rented by the hour? What counts is the date of SUBMISSION, not the date it is posted.

I know it's the date of submission, I was just wondering when it's safe to post our stories in the final tally scoresheet.

What the fuck?

I'm a little confused here. I thought the Survival contest was all about writing ONE story per catagory here at lit, not the volume of stories written in a year. Is there no quality requirment at all? If not, that would explain some of the crap I've read through by a few of these authors.

The idea is AT LEAST ONE story per category. There is no maximum for stories although there is for poems. One entry in every category would result in a total of 134 points.

Minus one editing mistake nothing I have submitted in my opinion has been pure crap. I made one mistake with names, but it wasn't a rush job just something I missed when I went over it again.

I wouldn't lower myself to submit anything right now I normally wouldn't. Although I will have numerous stories posting in the next few days, almost all of them were written over the last year and I just had not submitted them. Notice the large gap in dates from when I submitted stories this year.

LOL, now Dirt Man you didn't aim your comment towards anyone I just took a bit of offense, I know last years authors went through the same thing.

BACK!!!

OK, I've managed to bribe the internet company to hook me back up. I'm at home, and typing.

First of all, thank you ogg for helping me out. *hugs*

Second, thank you MV, for being a good sportsman about this whole thing. I have given up all hope of beating you (there is just NO EFFING WAY I can write enough stories to win this year EITHER), but since I'm all alone for tonight (no parties; everyone I know is away for the holiday, and I'm home with a flu), I'll do my best to atleast become second.

I just hope and prey PenanceS won't surprise me at 11.55 pm by submitting 20+ stories...:(

Svenskaflicka;

I would have fought for a way to get Laurel to allow entrances from you even if it would have meant losing. We, you and I, have always had a good banter and I wouldn't want to win due to something like this.

In reference to PenanceS, check out the Survivor Discussion Thread, he says that he is finished and wasn't submitting more stories this year. Whether it's a clever ruse to have the rest of us lie down and not submit or if it is true I take no chances lol.

Do you know what happened to Chicklet? Is she just not popping up until after this contest again or did something happen to her? I'm not worried about the contest now, just would like to know she is safe and well.

Good luck Svenskaflicka, if you can't beat me it would be an honor to have you right blow me. LOL I guess that should be below me, either way I usually prefer to be on top.

Thanks for the competition this year and it's great to see you're back on. MV

Actually, I'm kinda worried about Chicklet, too.

It's unlike her to be this quiet.

Chicky, baby, you ARE still part of the population count, I hope?:(

Oh, one more thing... I have a little... treat, for you guys, which I will post by midnigt, to start off the New Year.

I won't tell what it is, but I'll give you a hint: Chippendales.

Off to do last-minute shopping for tonight. Microwave pizza and pear cider will go well together with non-stop typing and story-submitting.
