I'm 33 and awaiting a circumcision operation having been diagnosed with BXO (tightening of the foreskin).

Has anyone experience of circumcision after becoming sexually active? Are the sensations during sex any different?

Can any ladies who've had both cut and uncut partners tell me if they feel any major differences in sensation?

Thanks:confused:

Actually I haven't been able to notice any difference between uncut and cut penises when having intercourse. As you would know that when excited the foreskin pulls back to the glands anyway.

I would recommend to you that you research this heavily as you are waiting your surgery. Traditional American medicine has solved forskin problems by removing it--this is not always necessary. If you are interrested, look into alternatives.

Keep in mind--there is no teaching for the average guy on how to care for his penis. Of course, there are problems.
The same goes for women, everything most women learn about their reproductive organs comes from douche commercials and tampon instruction boxes.

Ignorance has been the cause for much misery. If there is an option, be sure to explore that. Surg sucks--ESPECIALLY on your privates.

I second Blondgirls sentiments. Research this for yourself. Do you really need to be circumcised or is that just the simplest way for your doc to deal with it? I haven't noticed a difference in sensation for me but I have noticed circumcised men seem to be less sensitive or be desensitised from having the head of their penis always touching their pants or underwear. In Addition it HURTS a lot. OUCH!

There is lots of info out there but you won't find it in you doctors office.I thought if I bumped this up someone might have a link or two for you. Good Luck.

Thanks for your comments everyone

Unfortunately I don't have any option but the op. I've heard of alternatives including steroids, stretching the foreskin and adding slits in the foreskin but having discussed them with the medical experts they're all non starters cos of the severity of my condition. :(

I just hope the surgeon has a very steady hand!!!

Routine circ is the equilavent of reoutine mastectomy.

Once upon a time, it was believed that the chopping off of the problem part was the only solution for breast cancer. I certainly am glad that this is not the way now.

I wonder if American medicine will ever learn how to care for the normal penis and the problems that occassionally occur.

I am wondering where you learned of your options: Slicing? Stretching (How would this be done?) Steroids?
What do men in Europe do when this condition occurs? Or in Asia? Or in Africa?

Of course, it is your body and it is good that you are the one making decisions about your flesh instead of some one in charge of you as a helpless child.

Sorry but, OUCH!! I hope it isn't so sore that your partner cannot realize the benefits of swelling...;)

BlondGirl is giving you good advice..I was circumsized when only a mere lad..They made a horrible mistake and threw the
"big part" away......
