Greetings! I'm interested in finding a prospective co-author or writer in need of some potential ideas. I have been developing various plots and characters focusing around themes such as the paranormal, classic horror,b-movies, zombie outbreaks, cthulhu mythos, and dark science fiction.

As you could easily guess (given the board this is posted on), these stories would have an added twist of erotic encounters between characters both human and otherwise.

I'm very interested in stories where a group of strangers are forced together against forces both horrifying and seemingly invincible.

I consider myself easy to work with and very open to others' ideas. I'd only ask sensible limits such as no age or bathroom play ideas.

Anyone interested feel free to message me here on the boards or link to similar pieces you've worked on in the past.

That's a little vague to be honest. Not a terrible plan. What you should do is pick on and see what we build off of that.

Apologies. I wasn't trying to be overly vague, was just giving potential co-writers a variety of options and room for their ideas.

If I had to choose a favorite idea, it would be a luxurious setting ( cruise ship, casino, ski resort, ect) that would draw people from all over and be the last place you'd expect terror and danger. A handful of unlucky characters (complete strangers with different skills and personalities) would band together to combat an unexpected terror.

No apology necessary. It's a really good idea just hard to build on since it's vague.

I like the boat idea. Very Jason takes Manhattan, early apperance of a young Kelly Hu, second time Kane Hodder would play the Masked Murderer. Anyway back on subject. I like it, secluded, impossible to escape, most people have no idea how to sail so you kill the captain, destroy the radio and they might as well be on Mars.

Zombies could still work but might be a bit much, you know either than can't run and the zombies get everybody quickly or the zombies can be corraled and they are pretty quickly. A vampire could be a lot of fun especially if you take it in a Clue sort of direction. Unable to figure out who the killer is but knowing he's amongst them.

Maybe even in a twist "killing" him relatively early on in some gruesome but (for a vampire) more annoying than anything else.

Yes, I think seclusion from the outside world and the removal of authority figures are key elements in this genre.

"Killing" a character off early, in order to remove them from suspicion, would work great and could provide a twist at the end. Even if vampires aren't included, there can be a character who secretly releases a virus or summons an evil creature.

I'd prefer to avoid generic zombies in favor for a more original threat, even if the monsters would share some traits of the standard Zs. Setting specific monsters (aquatic if the stories on the cruise, snow if at a ski lodge) might be the way to go.

This might not be something you would want, but what about making it a period piece from the past?

Say, 1880, and the cruise ship is instead a tramp steamer. And the "monsters" are actually the crew. There would be less passengers, but the isolation on the high seas would be even more intense. Set it in the Indian Ocean. Have them caught in a storm at sea. The passengers might be missionary families going to Africa, or somewhere in the South Pacific. Lots of virgins. The monsters might be half man, half beast, or something like that.

All good ideas.

For my part I don't usually try to mess with the classics too much. It's a personal issue I grant you but for me when people mess with a classic monster they either screw it up and don't go far enough and nobody cares. Example. 28 days later. Nobody cares that they aren't zombies, they're rabid rage monsters. We remember it every so often or I am Legend where they are half vampire , half zombie and. . .yeah that didn't help much. (Though I guess with the secret ending they do)

Orca's might be onto something, the only problem being I know next to nothing about 1880.

Apocalypse sluts

Maybe there's a guy with a conspiracy theorist/survivalist acquaintance who's been predicting and preparing for the end for a while now. The conspiracy nut has a several stores of supplies (guns and food) on the way to some hardened, isolated fortification which he's detailed in a journal telling whoever reads it how to survive, avoid, and travel to the fort. The nut dies within the first few days of doomsday opening and the protagonist gets the journal. Some desperate survivors try to take the journal only there's one big problem, the journal is in code and our hero is the only one who can read it. So he manages to convince a few hot survivors to come along at the cost of putting out along the way.

I think this plot is fantastic! Any interested in co-writing Panic, or were you just supplying ideas ? If not, anyone here want to work together?
